After going through some old boxes, my hubby came across a collection of VHS tapes. You remember back in the day when we all carried around a camcorder to document our crazy Spring Break vacay but never properly labeled the tape…so now 30 years later who knows what we’re going to see on those tapes. Anywho, we absolutely needed a VCR to see what was on those tapes! After ordering the VCR, it arrived in 3 days as promised! After unboxing it, we tossed aside the detailed instructions included as muscle memory kicked in to easily connect all the cords and adapters also included with the purchase! We watched all 20 tapes without any issues with the VCR! Thank you for selling a product that allowed us to walk down memory lane and see our younger and crazier selves! I'm a bit disappointed...I purchased this specifically because it states that it is "Connector type HDMI". Upon opening the box, it's component out only...that sucks. The listing SPECIFICALLY says HDMI...and that's what I need because modern TVs no longer use AV inputs! So NOW I have to go and purchase an HDMI to Component converter...and you have to be careful because the converter needs to be Component INPUT and HDMI OUTPUT...many are the other way around...Had I known that this WASN'T HDMI, I would probably not have purchased it...I really hate that this bait and switch got me. This dvd did not work like it should- no color the cables did not work! The top panel was a piece of black cardboard, the black and white dvds color was totally black! I could not see the picture! Horrible! Read more

My order arrived quickly and packed well for the shipping to Hawaii. Used it a couple of times so far with mixed results. Mostly tracking issues but it could be due to the quality of the video tapes I'm working with. Read more

This unit works "AS NEW." It was difficult;t to find a functioning DVD/VCR combination unit due to it being out dated technology. Port Hole did an outstanding job. Now we can still use our considerable library of VCR's and DVD's. Read more

Works but VHS playback is fair. It could be the tapes themselves or it is the player(?). But better than nothing. Read more
