When it is lowered down to half way, it is much more stable for long distance shooting. I sit on an overturned 5 gallon bucket and hang my range ammo bag underneath for added weight and stability. The sliding length legs with the cam clamps are fast and have not slipped. Clamp holds heavy rifle at the balancing point and easily tilts or turns with the adjustment knobs. I also use it for pistol by placing forearms on each side of clamp, could easily clamp a board to the width needed or drape a shooting bag over it and rest the handgun on that. Read more
Very nice tripod with good stability. However on my first outing with it the knob broke off that tightens the grip to hold your rifle. Hopefully it’s an easy fix because everything else has been great. Read more
Well built works good as long as you don't tighten around magazine on a bolt gun. My gun wouldn't chamber a round when very tight. Read more
