I’m really impressed that this product had no smell. I was fully expecting a chemical smell being that it’s a vinyl material, but there wasn’t one. It laid flat immediately, did not take time to settle out the kinks. I’m using it on top of carpet for underneath a puppy playpen and it’s working perfectly. Granted, I have let it sit out to self flatten for a couple weeks, it has naturally settled itself without having to apply heat or place anything on it to straighten it out. It doesn't lay perfectly flat but it's good enough for my needs. I do like the slightly tinted appearance since it can hide blemishes better than completely clear mats. It's softer than I had thought it was going to be but that's ok since it seems to be less likely to scratch. Read more
