This is the first time I used one of these and I was unsure what to expect. I have not been using it for long but while you are using it, you can see the overall shape of your jaw seems to be what you want to achieve from this. Hopefully, it would be permanent after a while of using it. As for the item itself, it comes with three different trainers and each is packed in a separate container to keep it clean or be able to easily move them around separately. It's a three-pack, with resistances of 40, 50, and 60 pounds. Easy to clean, and each one comes in its own protective case for storage. They're made of some pretty stong silicone, I doubt they'll suffer much/any substantial damage from being used (unless you've got some amazingly powerful jaws, in which case you've got no use for these anyway). I tend to daytime grind my teeth due to stress. I have tried using store-bought night guards during the day, but none fit my mouth. I tried this silicone jaw exerciser to see if it would fit my mouth, and it does. I am so excited. I am trying to protect my teeth and stop the achiness in my jaws from bearing down during the day. So I have first started with just putting the silicone mold in my mouth each time over the past couple days when I get that urge to bear down in my mouth.
