Bought this as is the perfect size to fit on a Ryan air flight oversees and it worked perfectly under the chair in front and sitting on top of my roller bag. This seems a very nice looking, sturdy and handy travel bag-I have the black one and I think it looks equally and entirely acceptable for use by a man or a woman.. The handle straps are held together over top of bag by a hook and loop closure wrap that makes a comfortable point to hold it, and there is also a sturdy shoulder carry strap. All the straps are about 1.5 inches wide, and the anchor points and hardware for them seems very sturdy and mice looking. The back of the bag has a zipper pouch on a trolley or 'pass-through' sleeve so you can secure the bag over the handle of a rolling suitcase trolley- good use of space and a convenient place to tuck travel papers. The other side of the bag has another zippered pouch 12 inches wide an 8 inches deep, and that has a slightly smaller zippered pouch on the front of it with a bit of padding in the form of a nice looking pattern of cris-cross stitched squares. Inside the main compartment of the bag is yet another zippered pouch made of netting.which goes the full length of the bag and is about 7 inches deep. I thought from the item description there were multiple zippered mesh pouches inside for small items, but that is the only inside pouch on the bag I received. The ends of the bag also have storage- a 7-inch wide by 6 inch deep zippered pocket on one end and a slip-in pouch about the same size, made of of net material which has a slightly stretchy top band, but no zipper or other closure on the other. I looked over all the stitching and it seems good, nicely done. The zipper teeth are plastic- and that is the one thing I do not feel so good about. In the past I have had items with zippers that look like this and they split apart- you can back the zipper slider up and heat the rift, but the teeth get worse about not staying interlocked as time goes on. The seller says these are good quality zippers and will stay closed, and I hope that is true- time will tell. The top flap of the bag is a little odd in how it flops ovsr and is curved to the bag, and I had to be very careful and slow in zipping it in order to keep the edges out of the way of the zipper. I definitely had to tuck the edges out of the way going around the corners or they would have certainly caught. I felt I had to knock a star off there I think the bag looks quite nice and seems very sturdy (other than my reservations about the top zipper, and the plastic teeth. It folds and scrunches down to not take too much space when you are storing it, but opens up to hold quite a bit. There ought to be enough space for what you need for an overnight trip, or for things you might need access to on a long airline flight. It should fit in the under seat space of nearly all airlines, and certainly in overhead space. I noticed this company makes 2 sizes of similar bags--the one I have and am reviewing is the small one, about 16 inches long by 8 inches wide by 11 inches tall. Read more
