The "Overstuff" Test: I decided to push the limits of the 24” Medium bag to see if it could handle more than advertised. Recommended: 8 Men's Large T-shirts, Perfectly Flat. My Test: 12 Men's Large T-shirts, Very Flat & Secure. (see photos) While the product images suggest 8 shirts for a perfectly flat seal, the bag handled 12 with ease. It vacuumed up nice and tight, and the seal held perfectly. Even when overstuffed, it kept my wardrobe tidy and compressed enough to save significant space. (see photos) The 4500Pa Cordless Pump: I was skeptical about the included 4500Pa cordless pump (approx. 0.65 PSI) being strong enough to easily vacuum the bag completely, let alone outperforming my plug-in electric model, but I was wrong. This cordless pump is very powerful, surprisingly more powerful than my corded unit and makes the vacuuming process remarkably fast and efficient. The battery holds enough power to seal several bags before the need to recharge. Perfect for travel to reseal bags for the trip home. From closing the zip seal on the bag to replacing the security cap on the vacuum port, the entire process took less than one minute. It took about 25 seconds for the vacuum to fully compress the bag. (see video) My plug in pump can easily take a minute or more to achieve similar results. These bags do a pretty good job. I was expecting the stuff to get a lot flatter, but there's still some air left inside because of where the hole is located. Since the hole to suck out all the air is right on top, the less air that is inside the more the stuff inside gets pulled up to that hole therefore end up blocking the hole too much and it can't suck out anymore of the air. You could try fighting with it or holding it away from the stuff inside for as long as you can but it gets way too hard to be doing that for not than a few seconds. On the other hand, when I was done and took the vacuum off, the air stayed out. It never rushed back in and I was able to get easily get the cap back on and sealed up completely without letting air escape back in. I was able to fit a decent amount in the biggest sized one as well. (About 6 of those throw size blankets that are all over Amazon and stuff and 4 of them were actually double thick too) The bags are really stiff though and that makes it slightly hard to get bigger folded stuff in there nicely without ruining the folding but I know the bag needs to be strong and durable enough to withstand the pressure too. I've never had any vacuum seal bags so I don't really have a way of comparing but I think it's awesome that it comes with a vacuum and I think it does do a good job. They also seem very well made. The bags are essentially thick, high quality Ziplock's. I wanted these to help me pack away clothes that don't fit me anymore to make space in my closet. It was a challenge to get my pile of clothes into the bag. The photo i used was the medium bag. The pile measured between 7-8 inches. I packed the clothes and closed the zip lock. It was fairly easy to get the Ziplock in the correct place to seal it in one swipe. I then used the reverse pump to suck the air out of the bag. The pump did not connect to the bag at all, no way to secure it so I had to hold it in place while it sucked the air out. I did not think it was going to work but with enough pressure, I successfully sucked all the air out of the bag leaving a 4-inch lump. Definitely worked and will save space. Could prove to be tricky with some items though since the pump does not secure to the bags. My only other complaint would be the smell. You might want to try to air them out a bit before use. They smell like plastic chemicals that I'm sure will leach into your clothing. Read more
