Saggy, plasticky material that makes rustling noises. No padding for bottom of tote; minimal padding for laptop enclosure. HUGE item that does not look like it would pass as a personal item for air travel. I returned it. This is a nice, high quality canvas bag. The material is thick, durable, and built to last. It has plenty of space with several different pockets. The straps are reinforced and the bottom has extra padding for added protection. You can easily clean it just by wiping it with a wet rag. It's also waterproof in case you get caught in the rain. Its very versatile and you can use it for so many things including travel. It fits perfectly under the seat of a plane or in the overhead bin, as well as it has a strap to attach to your luggage. The bag is very comfortable to carry. You can either use the shoulder straps or the longer duffle strap, they are both comfortable and convenient. When the bag arrived they was no strange smell, instead it was just the smell of a new bag which was a nice change from so many similar products. I really like the all black look, it looks clean and slick. For the size, quality, convenience, and many different uses this bag is well worth the $42.99 (price at time of review).
