This is definitely a high quality bag. The material is high end and the construction is flawless. The bag does have some weight to it, empty, but I think that speaks to the quality of materials and hardware. It's a straight forward design without any unnecessary gimmicky features you see in cheaper bags. The main compartment is accessed by high quality YKK zippers. The front side has a small, zippered pocket for smaller items as well as a even smaller pocket for your phone or passport that can stay closed with a magnet. There is a padded pocket on the side for your laptop/tablet as well as a slot to slip over your roller board handle. The unique feature of this bag is the removable bottom section that you can use to expand the volume, separate your items, like uses or dirty laundry or remove it all together if you don't need to additional space. However, this bottom section is also the biggest issue I have with this otherwise perfect bag. There is no way to lock the zipper. The top zipper has loops that you can put a TSA lock on it, but the bottom zipper does not. Someone can gain entry into your bag from the bottom easily by just unzipping it and this includes the main compartment, not just the bottom section. There is no lock either on the bottom of the main compartment that you can unzip to enlarge the space. This means you probably should not check this bag in with anything valuable. If you only use this as a carry on, it's almost the perfect bag. Read more

Very good quality Soft-side Drop-bottom Weekender /Carry-on bag by TravelPro. Well-constructed of heavy-duty, durable fabric with DuraGuard coating making it resistant to stains and scratches. The exterior has a zippered pocket with 3 open slip pockets and a key leash. The trim and handles are genuine leather. There is a hidden pocket with magnetic closure, the opening is at the top of the leather trim on the front – a medium-sized pocket, great for easy access to items you need quickly (mobile, glasses, passport…). There is a suitcase trolley handle pass-through for easy transport through the airport. TravelPro has added an additional compartment on the bottom of this bag, accessed by a zipper that goes all the way around the circumference of the compartment. The interior has one zippered pocket and a very roomy main compartment. Plenty of space for inflight essentials or a weekend getaway - clothes, a neck pillow, a blanket, toiletries, tech (iPad, earbuds, charging cords, etc), snacks and quite a bit more. The interior lining (ECOFAB) with H2O guard is made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic bottles (Approx. 11.5 bottles). There is a separate padded, zippered laptop / tablet sleeve that is roomy enough for all the tech you travel with. The zippers glide easily and the main zippers have loops to add TSA locks if desired. TravelPro enclosed a nice shoulder strap with padding. The dark navy color with brown leather trim is stunning. This is my favorite duffle / tote style carry-on by TravelPro. I travel with my Service Dog and I use the bottom compartment for all of his airport / inflight products – a blanket, portable bowls, wipes, treats, a couple of disposable pee pads and an airline seat buckle safety clip. This Travelpro carry on bag is my new favorite bag when traveling. It can fit a lot of things and has the sleeve to slip on the handle of my rolling suitcase. I love how it has a lot of zippers and pockets to put things in. The bottom part fits about 2 pairs of shoes which is what I usually bring when traveling. The overall quality of this bag is the best I've ever had. The zippers are high quality and doesn't feel like it's going to break. This bag is really convenient when going through the security line because I just add all my items in my pocket into the zipper pocket. I also love the laptop or tablet sleeve cause it's padded and you won't have to worry about it being damaged. I love the feature where you can remove the shoe compartment on the bottom so you don't have to carry this extra part of the bag. It's a great 2 in 1 bag and perfect for a weekend trip! Read more

12.16.24~ Waited a while before sharing on this $200+ bag. Isn't it funny we'll drop way more on a purse and not think twice. A good weekender bag which is hard to find makes 200 seem like a lot. Especially one made for the way us ladies pack for a weekend. Details~ * Fabric is military grade duffle with teflon-like coating feel * You can run a knife side along the weave & feel pull back on the ridges * Dual zippers on top. Single zip on bottom * Heavy duty (again duffle bag style) zipper & seams for "just in case" or winter travel packing * Liner is thick and silky. Feels like a man's trench/pea coat liner * Top is square shaped giving those few more inches of space you need * Bottom is soft so save you packing bubbles to puff it up to keep shape Storage reference ~ * Top stores rolled winter coat, 2 jeans, 2 sweaters & "accessories".
