My husband and I just came back from our "trip of a lifetime," NYC to Auckland, NZ, a 17 hour flight (15 hour return)! I was really worried about how the trip would affect our first few days in New Zealand, especially since my husband has always been uncomfortable in economy class and has never been able to sleep on a plane. I looked into an upgrade to business class, but it was thousands of dollars. I couldn't do that, but I could get the best travel pillow on the market, the Travelrest Nest. The pillow design is a game-changer. The angled back of the pillow fits against the seat on the plane so it places you comfortably. The pillow and the seat are not fighting each other. Then, the extra tall sides of the pillow actually work to stabilize your neck, preventing any wobbles or the dreaded "crick" in the neck. It was super comfortable for sleeping. I also loved that the pillow comes with a bag that helps you compress the pillow when not in use. It's easy to stuff the pillow in and then you can fold it again to reduce the size quickly and easily. Again, when you're stuck in economy class, this sort of innovation is a game-changer, as ever square inch is precious! My only complaint is really with the airline, not the pillow. The cabin was overly warm and so the soft fleece fabric of the pillow added to the feeling of being overheated and stuffy. Everyone in the cabin was hot, so I don't think the pillow was to blame, but I did feel like I needed to cool off during the flight and the pillow was the first thing to go. Overall, I found this pillow to be a miracle worker. We were able to sleep (even my husband!) and we felt refreshed enough to enjoy day-one in NZ! I would love to be able to pay for business class, but short of that, I highly recommend the Travelrest pillow. It's a secret weapon for the common man! Read more
I purchased this before my 11-hour flight to the U.K., and it was great. The design propped up my head while I dozed so that it didn't fall forward, and my jaw didn't drop open (I hate that!). Much better than a traditional U-shaped pillow, and it traveled easily in my personal item. Once in the U.K., I used it as a reading pillow, which was also nice. It's very soft and comfortable! I find it really hard to sleep on a plane, so I'm just happy to have my neck and head cradled while sitting for hours in an uncomfortable plane seat. This pillow is super comfy, soft and supportive. Worked well as a regular pillow too for leaning on the wall by the window. Only downside is that it became a bit hot over time. Read more

I've looked carefully through all the packaging but cannot locate the memory foam ear plugs that were supposed to be included. I haven't left for my trip yet, but I can't compact it small enough so that it takes up minimal space in my carry-on. The stuff sack will have to be attached to the outside of my bag. It does feel comfy while sitting in my dining room. If I hear back from the company or the ear plugs magically appear in time for my international trip, I will update the review. Read more
This is the best travel pillow I've found in a low time. You really have to try it out to appreciate the ergonomic design;it curves around your shoulders and has a high back that cradles your head but also is a flat back so it rests against the seat without feeling like a rolled towel digging into the back of your neck. A lot of travel pillows talk about preventing front head-bob but to me this doesn't actually matter in real life, because head-bob only occurs when sitting upright but when you recline head-bob doesn't occur since your head is naturally falling back onto a reclined seat. That being sai, it head-bob is important to you this pillow is basically par-for-the-course in preventing which is mediocre, but like I said that doesn't even matter when reclined. The most important feature for me is how a pillow feels when I lean my head to the side toward my shoulder which is how I usually sleep on planes, and this pillow feels perfect. It's supportive yet soft. A lot of stiffer pillows or cervical-brace style feel like they dig into my cheek or neck and become uncomfortable after 10minutes, but not this pillow! Travel pillows are highly personal and I have hated some pillows that others have loved, but I would highly recommend anyone at least give this pillow a try! Read more
If you want a cramped pillow style this one is for you. It’s not thin enough in the back still for airplane head rests so it pushes you forward. It comes up way too high on the sides of your neck so good luck wearing over ear pillows comfortably at the same time. Because of these things it is very warm to use too. It does make for a decent iPad stand if you want to raise your iPad up to watch something while on the plane, hence the two stars. But why pay so much for a stupid iPad lifter? For decades I have avoided neck pillows. They are bulky, look terrible, and are uncomfortable when I have tried them. Plus they are unnecessary. I just use the adjustable "wings" on the seats. However, this was a good price and so I figured that I would try it. It is good. It was helpful on the couple of long flights that I have had. It is still bulky and therefore is not worth it for all trips. However, on the right trip, I am glad that I bought this. Read more
