This is a nice little sponge holder, it does allow for the sponge to dry and doesn't retain the water or have any sort of smell. The size is perfect next to my sink and it has a nice weight to it that gives it a sturdy overall feel. Functions as it should and looks great with my white/grey/brown countertops. It cleans up really quite easily and, obviously, holds a sponge just fine. While the item photos are exactly accurate, I would recommend paying attention to the dimensions of the product before buying - it is smaller than my mind anticipated, though the item listing is 100% accurate. The Russell red marble is beautiful. The sponge holder is well made and solid, feels heavy in your hand and looks fancy, and it makes standing your sponge up to dry a snap and just looks better. It doesn’t take up a lot of space. I had been standing my sponge up behind the sink so it wouldn’t just sit in a pile of wet, but this make sure it doesn’t fall over. You can’t really see the inside part very well in the photos on Amazon, but it may be worth noting that it’s not finished and shiny the way the outside is. This overall gives the item a kind of antique or rustic. Look that I actually really like. I think this would make a nice gift for housewarming or a new homeowner. I’m pleased to get this upgrade.
