I do not generally use soaps barely ever because my body does not do well with them. Usually the body soaps will only make me smell worse, and I have rarely used products for my face outside of moisturizers except on rare occasion. I got this set because the ingredients looked fairly natural and even if I could not use it, my husband probably would. My concerns about this product were that the turmeric would cause coloration, and that it would be heavily spice scented. I was quite amazed to find out that while this is pretty heavily scented, it is a pleasant, light, fruity scent. I can also say that even though it is made with turmeric and is a bright, vibrant yellowish-orange, it does not cause any yellowing at all. The bars are rather small, to be honest (I did not notice they were face bars and used them as general body bars), but they come with nice soap bags, meaning that you ought to be able to use every last drop. If you do not use the bags provided, there are little exfoliating granules on one side of each bar. They will still come off and be effective on your skin with the bags, but I imagine that the effect would be greater without. They lather quite nicely, and although I have only used the bar twice, it doesn't seem as though they melt away too quickly like some do. I was happy to find out that this is the first regular soap in years that I have been able to use that not only removed my BO, but also did not afterwards react with my body chemistry to make me smell worse and more quickly. I have only used it the couple of times, so I am unsure if this is a temporary situation for me (as I have had once or twice before), but for now it is the situation. As far as the face wash and facial cleansing pads: the pads are quite thick, so I had thought that I had picked up 2 at first and the facial wash doesn't come with instructions. I also rarely use facial products outside of moisturizer, although I will do makeup for special events and a minimal amount of cleansers when needed. For the past month or so, I have been having some new sort of reaction lately where I have super dry skin on my cheeks which makes them red and looks like I have pimples. I have had to moisturize continually to minimize it and it is nearly always present. I do not know if it is coincidence or not, but I have used both the pads and the facial cleanser once (at the same time) and my face cleared up for a day. As I said, the issue is nearly always present, so it does clear up for a day here and there, but it usually happens overnight and this happened after washing in the shower, so I am inclined to believe it was likely due to the cleansers. My skin was left very nice and soft as well, so I am wondering if these have a really good moisturizing quality to them. The pads had a LOT of product in them and could really be used in other trouble areas for those who need it, like the back for instance. I ended up wasting a lot because I didn't need as much. I like that the "brush" on facial cleanser bottle is extremely soft silicone and stretches off of the bottle so that you can rinse underneath. I also appreciate that in the instructions they encourage you to be sparing in the use of their products as so many people over-wash, which is also bad for the skin. (As an aside- outside of my recent issues, my skin has been one of the things people have always complimented me on.)
