I had the same problem with this and the prior TVs that I wrongly ascribed to the manufacturer. It was my mistake that caused the TVs to malfunction. As it turns out, my once reliable 12V power supply receptacle had failed so the TV was running ONLY on battery power. When battery power was depleted, of course the TV went off. I really like the item. I got one for me daughter who is at school. So I purchased myself one. After a short period a line developed on the screen. I notified the company and was given a refund immediately. I had positive experience with this company on both aspects: no problem with the first and fluke with the second one and having to deal with customer service. This is my reason for this rating. Is not as described....we live on a hill...could not get picture from our local channels 25 miles away!! A nightmare to return the item.....the return address said.."Walmart" but purchased through Entrotek! It said we had to contact Walmart to return.....Walmart had me on the phone for an hour couldn't find any order...so then I had to call Entrotek...who did not want me to send item back to them directly....but through persistence...finally got a return label to send it back....now I wait to see if I get a refund!!
