I recently switched from a corded string trimmer, to a cordless, battery powered one (Ego 16" w/line IQ). The thing nearly crippled me after one use. Well, not really, but I was super sore the next morning. The muscle fatigue in my left arm was so bad I was literally shaking when I finished 30 minutes of use. I was going to purchase the Ego strap, but 1) I was annoyed that Ego didn't provide the strap with trimmer purchase, and 2) it cost over twice as much as this one. I am very happy with my purchase for a few reasons. 1) Price 2) I really like the pole connecting strap that came with the strap. If you have the Ego trimmer, you know that they provide an attachment for the trimmer so you can connect a strap. Well, the problem with it is, it doesn't rotate around the pole; it's literally screwed tight into place. When I have the strap connected to the screwed in attachment and I try to flip the trimmer 180 degrees to edge around the sidewalks, I can't do it. But the nylon strap that comes with this strap easily attaches to the pole and moves with me as I flip the trimmer back and forth 180 degrees. 3) This strap takes the weight of the trimmer off your arms and back. I had no muscle fatigue at all with the use of this strap. This strap is well made and so far, I have no complaints. Highly recommend. Read more
