This cellphone holder is so easy to operate, you just lift the spring loaded bracket and slide your cellphone in then release. So simple yet effective, it holds the cellphone in with less phone surface area required. So no unintentional pressing of the side buttons ( lock button, volume control) while it's in the holder. I personally like this tripod for chatting on Google hangouts, all my friends think I'm on my computer. Then I get up and take them with me outside never worrying about my cellphone falling out of the holder. Great deal, great price, great quality it serves it purpose with no hang ups. Enough said. The tripod is ok. It's cheaply made and the bracket won't last long. Luckily I purchased it to set up a security camera with, so it won't be messed around with a lot. It should last longer because it will rarely be touched. I took one star away for being so poorly made and using such cheap materials. Another star was taken away because I spent over an hour trying to fix it, after opening it for the first time. This was clearly a return and I was the lucky one that received the used item. The tripod and its parts were not in their original bags, rather they were loose in th box and the bags were sitting in the box with nothing inside them. Then when I went to set it up, the screw that holds the ball joint tight was out of the ball joint. So the joint wouldnt hold the bracket that holds the phone up, which rendered the stand completely useless. No matter what I did, I couldn't re-engage the screw into the joint's hole. I messed with it for over an hour and then walked away because I was so frustrated. A few hours later I tried again, playing with it for another 30 minutes or so. Just as I was about to give up and send the piece of cr$p back, I finally managed to get it in the hole and tighten it so that it will hold the phone up. I probably should have deducted another star just because no one should have such a hard time re-engaging the screw. If removing the screw would essentially break the stand, it should have been designed so there's no way to even remove the screw entirely. I suspect whomever had it before just turned it once too many times and removed the screw by mistake, making it next to impossible to get it back in properly. What a horrible design. Read more
The media could not be loaded. When I initially purchased this, it was on a Whim since i wanted to get my Youtube channel done. It was inexpensive and the reviews were good, why not. It was SUPER fast shipping and the company PERSONALLY sent me an email about the customer service (HUGE BROWNIE POINTS) and then I had to try it out. I instantly tried it out once I got it. Not only does it work good for MAKING videos but also for WATCHING videos. When I want to watch something on my phone at home, I prop it on my art table and i watch away. Amazing product. I've owned this tripod for a couple of weeks and have already used it quite a bit. It has been great for shooting slow shutter pictures and timelapse video footage. It's easy to use, assembles quickly and comes in a travel pouch. If I were to suggest any improvements on design, it would be to have a wide enough base on the legs when they are fully extended to allow for the camera to be turned vertically for portrait shots. The weight of my phone make it easy for the tripod to tip over. I was able to adjust the position of the legs with the screw at the bottom of the tripod so that one leg lines up with the phone when it is tipped vertically allowing for better support. I use an Iphone 5, though, so I imagine a larger bodied smartphone would still be too much weight for the tripod to stand up with the phone tipped vertically. All in all, though, I'm not complaining as the tripod works great for landscape shots and that is what I got it for. I am loving my new accessory and you can't beat the price! Read more
So I can't say I write many reviews, but this one definitely is worth it. This is a really, really excellent product, especially for the price. For it's size, it is heavy, and feels solid. I mainly just wanted to counter the biggest complaint people have, and it is that the tripod will tip, if you put the phone in portrait mode, off to the side. This is 100% true, but only if you don't extend the legs. I have a Nexus 6P, which is about as big of a phone as you can possibly get, and still have it fit. It took about 30 seconds of adjusting the leg length, but I got it to balance, with the phone off to the side, in portrait mode. I can only guess that people who have complained about this, have never bothered to mess with the leg extensions. My only gripe is that my phone's volume/power button are on the side, so if I am not careful, the holder will either raise/lower my volume, or reboot my phone. This is easy to avoid, I just have to be careful when I put it in. Wonderful product. Read more
I liked the product looked sleek and worked well when i had my iphone in sideways position. I was unable to use it when trying to film with my phone in upright position on side of tripod, as there was no counter-balance mechinism so it kept falling. However after posting my initial review, someone from the manufacture contacted me and told me how to make a stand apparently one of the legs if you make it longer it stands so I change my review to five stars. I appreciate a company that goes the distance to ensure their customers feel valued and that their product works effectively. I would highly recommend this product to anyone. Read more
While this tripod works great with your phone in a landscape format, the ability to put it in a portrait format by having the phone hang off the side is a bad design and it should be noted that this will not support a phone larger than perhaps an iPhone 5S. I own an iPhone 6S Plus and the phone is far too heavy for the tripod to remain upright. Otherwise the tripod seems like decent quality. Read more
