Perfect for powering an ONT, router, or Ethernet switch

Good product. Small size and easy wall mounting. I used it to power my indoor AT&T Fiber Internet ONT. Unit fails over (when pulling the AC plug) with no disruption at all. Read more

Reliable as ever.

I’ve worked with Tripp-Lite for decades, they are who they are because they have a proven track record. I’ve had much larger batteries in the past and you’re just paying to wear out a more expensive battery in the end. If you need sustained power off grid, there are far better options. What this excels at is flattening out short peaks and valleys and outputting clean, sine wave power to your electronics, which reduces wear and tear and increases reliability. In the case of no power, it gets you enough time to shut down gracefully instead of pulling the plug. The more expensive network connected version allows you to manage units remotely, but if you just have a single workstation nearby, it’s not necessary. It’s the perfect size for SoHo, but it’s affordable enough to manage a POS or critical printer. It’s an investment in uptime. Read more

Best available performance for poor power conditions for capacity and price.

These are utilizing a better technology than most available today. Sometime, while on generator power, if the frequency output is not ideal many UPS units will reject the power from a generator even thought the voltage is fine. When that happens, once the battery is depleted the UPS will shut down leaving your system without power until utility power is restored. These units are more forgiving, which is really what a person needs. This is the only brand that I have found in this price range that is able to mitigate these issues without taking the system offline. Some background, I am a retired electrical contractor, master electrician with 36 years as licensed contractor experience. I have installed scores of generators, transfer switches in pump stations, water reservoirs and commercial buildings. This brand of UPS is the best bang for your buck. Hope this is helpful Read more

Great UPS for a 10 inch server rack

This is a great small UPS that fits in DeskPI's RackMate T0 and T1 10 inch rack mounts. Just lay it flat in the bottom before adding any shelves or mounting any 10 inch wide gear. PRO's: + It's a UPS that fits in DeskPi RackMate T0 and T1 racks + UPS power switch and resettable circuit breaker are still accessible on the rear CONS: - Fits only four outlets on the back (but hey, see above!) OTHER: * I would buy again Read more

No display can make it confusing...

It was a little confusing at first as there is no LCD and it doesn't beep so you can't be sure exactly what mode it is in. You have to crawl down under it and view the LCDs that would be facing down if wall mounted. Also there is no way to connect it to a computer so you can view the status on the computer. But other than those issues it works, and are pretty minor issues for my intended usage, which is to power my desk during the fairly frequent power blips we get in Florida. So the small capacity and not being able to set it up to shut my computer down are minor inconveniences. Read more

I really like this form factor!

The time had come to replace my 20+ year old APC UPSs. They've all been through multiple battery replacements and still functioned wonderfully. However, one of them recently died in horrific fashion and I began to think that they've served me well, I should just retire them and replace. I purchased two of these Tripp Lite units. One for some of my lightweight communications equipment - cable modem, mesh wifi node, and Ooma base station. The other I'm going to install in my bedroom for the TV, Roku box, and Tivo Box. Again, all lightweight equipment. I primarily need the UPS for the surge protection and to give me enough time to go outside and fire up the portable generator if it looks like it will be a lengthy outage. If the battery runs out, so be it - this is not critical equipment that always needs to be powered. I plugged both in, and let them charge overnight. I installed the first one, connected the devices, pulled the power cord from the outlet, and everything kept going without missing a beat. Couldn't ask for more at this point. Update 12/10/2025: While the sale was still on, I purchased two more. Read more

Complete fail on software integration.

The software for the cloud connected portion of these devices is simply abysmal. - Not NUT compatible - High friction login/authentication process (don't make me login on a duplicate tab, store my auth token) - Poorly designed and confusing UI (particularly on mobile) - Custom notification by model only ?! Notify when below set capacity...ok. Where do I set the capacity? Who can say, can't find it anywhere. I could go on and on. It's like they designed the software for commercial clients with thousands of these devices, but then lack any of the features that commercial users would desire like NUT compatibility. The end result is a product that isn't suitable for commercial clients or the public. Read more

Fits in relatively small enclosures

Has been working strong in a vented enclosure for a PTmP system powering cameras. Have about 3 of these installed with no issues. Size/Power ratio is nice! Read more
