Over time, I might have noticed subtle improvements in skin feel and nail strength, so hard to tell. effectiveness. when you're all around trying to be healthier, but I don't feel it's hurting me, though it also definitely hasn't offered me any pain relief or noticeably improved (or hurt) sleep quality. I use the TRU NIAGEN regular NAD+ supplement, and I love it. I get it for both my husband and myself, and I've been using it for about 10 months now. I am very picky about what supplements I take, and it is expensive, but I truly feel that it makes a difference in both of our energy and cognitive function, so I have it on auto order because I never want to run out. Let me start by saying that the packaging and branding is high-end and that immediately makes me feel better about ANY product. That said, it definitely should be at the price point. It’s not a cheap supplement. The ingredients seem to be high quality. It may be too soon to tell (been taking it a few weeks) but I feel like I already notice a slight difference in the look and feel of my skin. I think I’m going to order more and keep taking it for a few months to see if I see more changes. To be able to take a pill to help with my skin is pretty awesome, especially seeing as though doing my skincare routine at night is so time consuming. The actual ingredient of interest is the Niagen. I am not sure how the inclusion of the various other compounds work synergistically, but the amount of the Niagen is much lower than the companies other products... Other than that... I’ve used regular Tru Niagen for years as part of a fertility and wellness regimen, so I was intrigued when they released this version focused on hair, skin, and nails. I’ve been taking it daily for about a month and no dramatic changes yet on my end, but I know these things often take time. The ingredients are solid (astaxanthin, hyaluronic acid, biotin, etc.), and I trust the Niagen brand. These pills are easy to swallow and tasteless. Interestingly, my mom (in her 60s) started taking them at the same time and swears they’ve been helping her hair grow back in. She’s already reordering, so it may be one of those supplements that works differently depending on what your body needs. I’ll stick with it for another cycle and report back. The packaging is quite impressive and bougie (as expected at this price-point); aside from the glass bottle the rest seems easily recycled. These capsules are a nice standard size and easy to swallow - best of all, you just need to take 1 per day and I noticed no unusual odors or digestive issues. As with any supplement you’ll want to compare the nutritional table with anything else you’re taking to ensure you’re not getting a higher-than-recommended dose of any one vitamin along the way. While this particular supplement contains unique ingredients I need to make sure the Vitamin E and amount of biotin are acceptable for my age/weight/etc. It’s hard to speak to the effectiveness because if it’s something you're already taking it’s hard to notice a difference in the way you look and/or feel. However, if it’s new to you/your system, it usually takes a while for any real benefits to show up. I’ve been taking biotin/collagen for some time now and haven’t noticed a difference in the way I feel with these; if that changes over time I’ll update my review accordingly. I’m new to this particular brand/product but, even with a coupon, the price for a 30-day supply ($62.00 ($2.07 / pill) at the time I ordered) is out of my range so it’s unlikely I’ll order again unless the hair growth is SO amazing that I find myself in a Rapunzel situation. 😉 Thank you for reading my review, I hope it was helpful!
