I've purchased competitor "value" software in the past from other developers with inconsistent results, bloatware, spyware, and constant attempts to make more money off of me. I have been trying to get rid of Microsoft Office products for decades hating the inflated price of such a trivial majorly unchanging product being in the hundreds of megabytes only of software. Buying activation keys only gets you so far with single activation codes and if you try to reuse your NVME drive in a new computer pretty much being given a "game over" with Microsoft Office not playing nice with previous uninstalled installations not accepting ANY new product keys. So steps in TrulyOffice! Flawless experience, no attempts to make more money off of you, pretty much full integration with MS Office for the standard user, FIVE activations (if I am surmising this right by the number of users), no requirements to link previous accounts, and a smooth interface with no problems so far. The human language hasn't changed since the invention of a word processor, so STOP giving money for trivial tweaks to what is already working! I am very happy with this product and it has a faster response time than MS Office along with a cleaner graphical interface. Read more
Truly Sheets cannot handle multiple functions across multiple sheets. Every change I make it freezes up for 10-20 seconds "not responding". I don't have time for that after every minor edit. Makes it unusable. My purposes were for making budget template to auto categorize expenses and income. I had no issue doing this in Microsoft Excel. We got new computers and hoped this would be a budget friendly alternative. Disappointed in Truly's lack of transparency regarding their programs' purposes. I know stating what it cannot handle is not a selling point but being upfront about what these programs are geared for and noting it's not for advanced Excel users or recommending professionals seek an alternative option for handling more computing may improve your rating overtime. Downloading was easy. Was not worth purchase. I think it's too late to return too. :/ It'll be fine for teaching elementary computers. Read more
I started using Truly Office a few weeks ago, and honestly, I’m impressed. I’ve always used Google Sheets and Microsoft Office for everything, but the idea of something more private really caught my attention. The setup was super easy — no complicated steps or weird menus. The interface is clean and modern, and everything loads quickly. I added a few screenshots so you can see what it looks like inside. It feels familiar, but lighter and faster. What I like most is the privacy focus. Truly Office doesn’t collect or share my data, and everything stays on my device or wherever I choose to store it. With Google or Microsoft, I always had that feeling of “someone else can see my stuff,” but not here. It’s nice to work knowing my files are actually private. In terms of features, it basically does everything I used to do on Office — spreadsheets, docs, and presentations — but in a simpler way. I even imported some files from Google Drive and it worked perfectly. To compare: Google Sheets / Microsoft Office: More integrated with other tools, but definitely less private. Truly Office: Just as functional, but much more focused on me and my data. So far, I’ve been using it for personal projects and work notes, and it’s been smooth. No crashes, no ads, and no random pop-ups asking for permissions. If you’re tired of big platforms tracking everything, I’d really recommend giving Truly Office a try. It’s refreshing to use something that actually respects your privacy without giving up the features you need. Read more
I browsed the Truly Office website and discovered that they offer an Office-like product tailored to those who prefer a one-time purchase over an annual subscription. As a Mac user, I've relied on Apple's iWork suite, including Pages (akin to Word), Numbers (similar to Excel), and Keynote (resembling PowerPoint), which adequately fulfill my daily requirements. However, I do find myself occasionally longing for certain Office features, such as the design options in PowerPoint or the ability to enclose text within shapes like circles, triangles, or squares without resorting to Word Art. Unfortunately, Truly Office lacks these nuanced features. Similar to iWork and Google's Docs, Sheets, and Slides, Truly Office provides fundamental productivity tools without the intricate design or additional functionalities characteristic of Microsoft Office. For individuals seeking basic productivity tools with straightforward formatting needs, Truly Office will suffice. This is my honest review and I hope it's helpful to you. Read more
