My bathroom sink is cast iron and at the drain it began to rust. I used a pumice stone to get rid or the rust, wiped and dried it, then I carefully painted the cast iron around the drain. After using the sanding paper provided, it looked like new! I also had a small chip in the bowl and that was easily patched. I can’t even tell anything was repaired. Read more

I know it’s not clearly marketed to use on toilets, but in the fine print it said you could. My toilet has scratches at the mouth/drain of the bowl that were unsightly, so I drained my toilet so the inside was completely dry and used this, hoping it would cover up the scratches. Well, it did, but now it looks like there’s stucco surrounding the drain of my toilet. The mixture was so thick (like silly putty) and the curves of the toilet drain were so, well, curvy, that I couldn’t apply it smoothly. I did the best I could. I hoped that after letting it dry for 24 hours as the instructions said, I could use the sandpaper included to smooth it out like the instructions say. It was to no avail. It refuses to smooth out. My toilet has gone from looking gross to looking weird, which I suppose is an upgrade, but not what I had hoped for. The mix is too thick for really curvy curves and the sandpaper isn’t adequate. And now if someone goes #2 in my toilet it will probably get stuck in the stucco. Great. :( Read more

Product comes as a complete kit (although you may want to use a disposable plastic cup to mix it in). I’m a chimp, and this was so easy for me to use that I feel like Bob Villa (GTS). It seems to be durable. I used it on a cast iron sink and it worked perfectly. When mixed properly (two equal sized blobs, stir for two minutes) it makes an epoxy that spreads like thick frosting. Sticks like mad to the substrate. I estimate that it will do even better on fiberglass. Dries overnight. Instructions say to let it set 24 hours, so I did, just to be safe. Clean up is easy. Comes with two disposable stir sticks. I pitched the plastic cup I used and wiped the putty spreader with a paper towel. You can see from the photos that it dries to match standard white sinks and tubs, which surprised me because there are so many shades of white. It looks great. There was PLENTY left over, so I suppose I should start banging up my sink more or doing repairs for the neighbors. Bang for the buck: HIGH. I was not expecting much. In order to cover the holes and scratches, I put more on than I had planned. When I tried to sand it down the sandpaper wadded up. I am now afraid that I will need to have a professional come fix it. Read more
