I ordered this headset to use with my Xbox Series X. I didn't want one of the dual ear headphone options that make you look like DJ or airline pilot. I also don't care about hearing footsteps in Call of Duty or whatever else for that "competitive edge". It is a comfortable, small headset with good audio quality. At first I thought the headset didn't get loud enough until I realized you can adjust the settings within the Xbox Guide. You can adjust the ratio of In-game sound to other people's voices and the overall volume. After adjusting it, it sounded great. My friends in party chat said the quality of the audio coming from the mic also sounded great to them. The adapter that plugs into the controller is small and non-obtrusive and features volume up and down buttons, mute button, and a multi-function button. This headset reminds me of the official Xbox Live Wireless headset from the Xbox 360 days which was a great option for back then. I wish Microsoft would offer a more affordable, single ear option like the Recon Air. The battery life seems great and is charged via USB-C which is nice and they include a USB-A to USB-C adapter in the box along with a couple different sizes of earbud tips to help you make it more comfortable if the stock size is too big or too small. All in all, if you are looking for a simple headset to talk to friends within party chat or other players in-game that sounds great, doesn't break the bank at $40, and at the end of the day doesn't have you looking like a DJ or airline pilot, I think this a great option! I will update my review in the future about my experiences with this headset. Read more
Product was in good shape. But from unboxing to use, a plethora of complaints. Major issues being sound quality and sound levels mixed with microphone issues I couldn't hear my chat, with volume maxed, and chat kept reporting I was cutting out, inaudible and very low volume when I did come through. The Bluetooth adapter works well. It was a little difficult to set up, because the quick start guide isn’t as accurate as I would hope. To get this mic to work right you have to adjust the party sounds settings when your actually in a party with friends under the party settings (not main system settings). The directions don’t specify this. Also I do wish it was a little more comfortable in/on your ear. After 2-3 hours I need to switch ears. But this mic is well worth the buy. It is so nice not to be wired to your controller. I can walk around and still chat while leaving the controller on the table. Sound quality is also good. And my friends say I sound fine. Battery life is good. I played for 6-7 hours straight one session with no signs of low battery. Connection is simple just plug the base in to the controller and turn on the Bluetooth headset and it connects right away. You can even connect it to your phone if you want. I believe you can be connected to your phone and game at the same time for seamless switching if you get a call while gaming. Over all this is a good headset and I’m glad I have it. Read more
Its works fairly good for a wireless headset/mic. The battery has a moderate battery life. Only issue I have had with it so far it getting it to connect to certain games right away. Other than that I'm happy with it. I'm using it with a Xbox series S. Good clarity though. Read more
I picked this up to prevent myself from being tethered to my XBOX controller with a wired headset and so I could still be able to hear my surroundings clearly while gaming. It meets my needs perfectly. Audio in voice chat is clear and easy to understand. Sound is monaural, so using audio clues for gaming is useless, but using it for chat while using the TV for game sounds clears that up. All in all, an excellent purchase. I may pick up another for my PC, as my wired headphones for Zoom meetings aren't very good. Read more
So turtle beach makes some I got this because I have kids and I need to be aware of my surroundings. It has decent volume. My only beef with it is that it tends to slide off the ear or move a lot. It is decent volume of decent like sometimes a little bit too sensitive. I was sometimes have connection issues with the controller dongle but for the most part it did work the battery last good while I would never have a die on me in a game session as long as I charge it after playing if you’re playing like a good story based or horror game then you should just have a full headset but for online gaming and you just need to communicate with your teammates it’s OK but not the best but if you want a wireless solution that is cheap I say it fits the bill I just wish it would stay in the ear better I’d rather have foam ear pieces than the rubber. Or for goodness sake, just have both. Read more
What do you expect, it is exactly what you think. It is good enough to get the job done. I can’t use overhead and this is a great alternative. Had 2 pairs in 4 years. Stepped on my first pair and glued it back together worked another 6 months and bought a new pair. Read more
