The fabric is very soft and reminds me of a muslin blanket feel, which is great for summertime since it’s thin, breathable, and lightweight. The elastic is very stretchy, making it easy to pull over a baby’s head, and the snaps go over the diaper area, which makes diaper changes quick and convenient. The outfit runs true to size. The headband is more of a ribbon style tie rather than a structured band. I’m personally not a fan of this style for newborns because it doesn’t stay in place well and could be a safety concern if worn in a car seat or while baby is sleepy. There is elastic running across the stomach area that holds the pieces together and gives the outfit some stretch. While it isn’t super plush soft, I don’t think it would bother most babies. I usually keep a thin onesie under outfits anyway, so it wouldn’t rub directly on the skin. Babies with very sensitive skin might notice it slightly, but overall it seems comfortable and flexible rather than irritating. Also, I’m not really loving the ruffles around the neck.
