I purchased this for an trip we took in December/January to Italy. I did size up 1 to an XL since I knew I would be wearing bulky sweaters and layers underneath. Fit as expected. Definitely kept me warm. It was great to wear casually with jeans as well as at night dressed up for elegant dinners at 5 star restaurants. I dry cleaned it before and after our trip and it has held up well. I'm not a regular jacket wearer but I knew for our trip it was needed. Wonderful coat! This is a heavy coat and should be perfect for wearing to church or other occasions where you want to look polished and elegant. It’s a classic color and style. Exactly the right length: I’m 5’4”, and the coat’s hemline hits just below my knees. Side pockets are nicely made and in the perfect position. I wanted a loose fit in order to wear the coat over layers. So, after reading the reviews, ordered the size recommended by the size chart according to my measurements. Great fit everywhere! Wow! The fabric is man made, which I need because of my sensitivity to wool. However, the cloth feels and looks like good-quality wool. Buttons: what a pleasure to have well-designed buttons that are stylish and easy to use! Lining: looks good, all the seams are okay. Nice quality coat, definitely needs to be steamed on arrival. It’s lined, and the fabrics feel like quality. The wool blend is soft and has just enough structure to it. The only negative I found was that it could help to have some sort of shoulder pad or structure around the arms so as not to have so much wrinkle in that part of the coat. On a side note, mine came with someone else’s credit card in it! Clearly it had been used and returned - very disappointing. Otherwise a great coat. Read more
Originally I ordered a different brand but the Medium was too snug and the Large was way too big. I returned both of those and ordered this one. I’m so glad the other brand didn’t work out. This one is better in every way. It fits true to size. The blue is a much prettier shade and oh so soft. It looks so luxurious and is reasonably priced. I love it and may even buy another in a different shade. Read more
