It is really tough to find a reasonably priced USB-C hub that can handle data throughput and a reasonable amount of power delivery, but thanks to UGREEN, I found exactly what I needed. Here's the deal- it's a simple hub. In order to get power to the hub you need to meet one of two conditions: 1. The port you're expanding already supplies 100w of power. 2. Plug in an external 100w USB-C power supply into the PD-IN port of the hub. Due to the laws of, well, physics, you won't get that 100w at every port if you only plug in a single 100w power supply. Supplying more than 100w of power would also fry this board, because it's just not rated to handle that much current. Designing circuits to handle that much wattage is expensive, and it's why other hubs are so much more expensive than this. Now that being said, for my use case, this little hub is perfect. I run a sound card, a phone charger, and an arduino off of it. It provides just the amount of ports I need in a compact package to make my desk space much more organized. It's a simple hub that does the trick for simple tasks quite beautifully. Enjoy! Read more

I do like this hub. The power distribution is good. It can properly run my external SSD with no lag. Only thing that disappointed me. One of the ports was offset and there's some metal piece that prevents the use of that one port. Nothing can be plugged into that one port. Read more

For the price, it can't be beat. I like the fact that you get full use of 4 USB C jacks instead of losing one to power distribution. I use it to connect 2 - 3 SSDs to my iPad Pro 11". It passes thru more then enough power to quickly charge my iPad and power the drives. Files transfers are fast enough. It takes only a few minutes to transfer around 40GB (using my iPad). I especially like the fact that the power input is on the opposite side from the USB jacks. It's very lightweight and will definitely be traveling with me. Although it's made of plastic, it's not flimsy... but if UGreen decided to release the same thing in aluminum, I wouldn't be mad! Read more

Failing after 3 months. It keeps disconnecting everything plugged in. I have two others that are regular USB ports (5 - 8 years old) with no issues, and multiple trips where its placed carefully in a bag. This one lasted ONE trip. It was hard to find a 4 port USB on here, and now I have to purchase another brand. Read more

Using it with iPad pro, mostly for audio interface and midi controller, seems to be working just fine and it's keeping the battery on the iPad on the plus. I really like the longer than usual cable. Read more

If you plan to use this with a headphone dongle, I should say that this thing is probably not the best option. I was going to use this to plug in headphones to monitor and mix music on mobile and the moment I hit the monitor button to hear my midi instrument, this thing picked up interference from TV's in two different rooms in a house with three floors. , when I went to check to see if maybe I was connected well, I rubbed against the braided cable attached to the unit, which ..also came through clearly through my headphones, and that means that the cable isn't well shielded for interference. I won't fault it since it's not an audio device ..but I'm pretty sure people would possibly use this to plug in audio devices, in this case they would probably also get interference from nearby electronics showing up in their devices, which is a shame. Regardless it still works for its other uses. Read more
