This is another great offering by Ugreen. They seem to be in the same quality/price range as Anker, yet I get the feeling that the cost is a touch lower than Anker, but the quality is similar. I can verify gigabit speeds and 100W power delivery. The more USB devices you add into the mix the more the speed of USB suffers, but this is normal for these devices. I have tested functionality on the ROG AllyX, an Apple Silicon Macbook, and even an ipad and iphone and all of the devices meet the maximum that those devices can do. I can also verify 4k at 60Hz via display port. This is a great travel adapter or even one for your desk at a very reasonable price. I appreciate the aluminum housing that helps with heat dissipation. Under sustained load it does get warm but not so hot as to be alarming. The quality of the cable is great, having a somewhat stiff nylon weave texture. The adaptor does feel a little on the light side and lacks that substantial weight that some adaptors like this have. That's more of a personal preference so I will not dock points for it. Minor gripe - the power delivery port could have been better placed. In my opinion, it would have been better being right next to the ethernet port or very near to it. As it is, it is off on its own towards the top of the adaptor. Its small size and reasonable price give tons of functionality for the money. Read more
I generally use Ugreen products quite a bit and they’ve always been reliable, this isn’t any different. Aluminum housing is sturdy and conducts heat well. Connection has been very reliable and I haven’t had any issues with it dropping out with any other devices. Charging has been serviceable, it’s not particularly fast but because it’s deployed as a dock where it’s plugged in all day that hasn’t been an issue. Overall this is an excellent hub/dock for mobile or at home use. Read more

After having finally finished my testing of this USB hub, I can safely say that UGREEN continues to be a great mid-budget option for computer accessories. During my testing, I actually found that the download speed of my internet was being throttled by the motherboard of my new computer, as I was getting even higher Mbps download speeds connected to this instead. The aluminum casing has a nice metallic feel, with all of the ports cleanly labeled. Both the aesthetics and function gives me the impression that it is well made. It is unfortunate that the USB slots are not universally the same speeds, as the one odd 480Mbps stands out among the rest as being a bit of a compromise. I would assume that is a limitation of the USB form factor that this connects through, but it does mean that you both need to be aware of the slot you are using, and may not be able to take full advantage of the devices you pair with it. That said, if those differences are important to your uses, then this is still definitely a handy device to pick up. Read more

I'm about to sound like a shill, but UGreen is my preferred brand of cables/splitters/power banks. Much more ethical company than Anker. Every one of their products that I've tested has performed as advertised. This USB hub is built like a tank. Nice, thick braided cable that is 12" long, no including the USB-C plug. Hefty (but not overly heavy) aluminum body. I appreciate the inclusion of 1 Gbps ethernet. That's often left out on cheaper hubs, but IMO it's one of the most useful ports you could need. If you don't have it and you need it, you're boned. The power delivery is pretty solid, if 85 W of output is enough for you. It's a bit slow for most modern high performance laptops, but tbh charging your laptops at max speed isn't great for the battery anyway. When charging my laptop at 85 W, the enclosure gets warm but not anywhere near as hot as my GAN charger block, for reference. Easily holdable in the hand without discomfort. My one complaint is that I feel like other USB hubs offer more ports in this physical size -- or the same number of ports in a smaller size. But I suspect that those other USB hubs do not reach the individual port performance that this hub does. Read more

I’m using this with an older Dell laptop that has a single 10Gb USB C port that also accepts up to 60W of PD in. The PD works, but I don’t use it for that normally. I use this primarily for 1Gb wired networking, an external display and an external nvme drive. All 3 of these things function perfectly at their maximum speeds. The extra USB ports are nice too, occasionally I'll connect a thumb drive, and it's quicker through this than the build in USB 2.0 ports. Read more
So far, I have used it with my Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Edge and it has worked great! Also, other brands need to follow UGREEN's example and list the port speed instead of USB 2.0, 3.0, 3.1, 3.2 gen 1, 3.2 gen 2x2, etc. It's so refreshing to just know that my port supports 10Gbps instead of having to look up the specs every single time!! The USB naming standards are VERRRRY CONFUSING!! For example, USB 3.1 and 3.2 can support a max of 10Gbps but doesn't need to support it. You can buy a USB 3.1/3.2 cable/device and it might only support 5Gbps. The USB standards are very loose on their requirements. Back to the dock, PD worked perfect! I was able to charge by laptop thru the dock just fine. As for display port, I tested it with my 34in ultrawide and it was able to handle it. It would had been amazing if UGREEN made this a dual monitor dock. Feels like the empty space next to the display port was wasted. Read more

Everything except for DP is OK. DP signal is not in DP alt mode, which means Mac still outputs YCbCr signal instead of RGB. Read more
