My girlfriend and I just got back from a 2 month long backpacking trip in Europe and this worked great for us! It is exactly what was marketed obviously, and I wish it would have extended just a tiny bit further, but I got what I paid for. It definitely did help to have this when we were in crowds to see over other people or when we needed to have shots taken from the tripod. This is a great tripod, short enough to fit my sling bag. It’s also a short selfie stick. I use it daily. I would have preferred a base in metal instead of plastic but for the price it’s perfect. It’s great to combine it with the 2 sided clamps. Read more

I needed a tripod to get my webcam at the proper height to use for desktop Zoom meetings. I don't know how it would perform with heavy cameras or other equipment, but it's perfect for this use. First, I definitely recommend this product. The construction is solid enough for day to day use - I keep it in my day bag and it has survived my normal carelessness. Next, while the title says "GoPro" I have to say this is perfect for my Android phone. It allows for portrait or landscape filming. What sold me on this was the shotgun mic mounts. Are you planning to take a trip abroad and have limited luggage space? Do you plan to shoot videos and photos of yourself without finding things to prop your phone against? Then this is the tripod for you! Don't get the other cheap looking ones, this one is well engineered and not just a 'stand'.
