Solid enough and works well; a bit short, and wouldn't bother with the cover
Very straightforward to assemble. Honestly the hardest part by far is getting all the parts detached from the packaging, as many of the crossbars and such are attached to the shelves with insanely robust zipties. On the plus side, that means it's very likely to arrive undamaged and unscuffed. As for the instructions, they're fine, just pay attention. You do kind of have to make your best guess about what level to install the lower clothes bars at, and also how much space to leave above the central top square shelf, but it's easy to re-adjust them if you decide it's not right. The upper clothes bars are super-wobbly when you first install them as they're just suspended from metal clips; however, by the time you get clothes hanging on them it's no problem at all. This particular arrangement (E12) offers by far the most hanging space of any similarly sized and priced unit I saw here on Amazon, since it's got two levels of hanging bars across 80% of its width. Do be aware that, like most of these units, the height of the hanging space is a bit on the short side. If you hang the lower bar so it's exactly halfway up, there's about 35" of hanging space for each level; the normal builder's standard closet is more like 40-41". I do wish they'd make this unit about 6-8" taller to allow a bit more space. Still, the product description clearly states the dimensions, so I won't mark off stars for that. The space is sufficient for most shirts and tops, or folded pants. I've built three of these. Two pink ones for my wife's closet; the pink is quite nice, pale and clean without being garish. I also made one black one with the grey cover for my daughter's room. The cover is really not that great; it's cheap-feeling and crinkles loudly, and shows a lot of wrinkles from being folded in the package. It's also tedious and annoying to open and close, so you'll likely just roll it up and leave it open most of the time anyway. On top of that, it blocks access to the small middle shelf on top. So the cover really isn't worth it, but the rack itself is good. Read more
