I’ve been using the Ulike Air 10 Deluxe IPL device for a few weeks now, and I’m genuinely impressed with the overall experience. UPDATE 3/15/2026: I’ve used both for seven consecutive days now. There is some negligible hair regrowth. One thing I forgot to mention in my initial review is the Ulike skin sensor is more forgiving on curved areas (like shins and ankles) than INIA. While that makes it easier to use, it also makes it a bit less safe because IPL escapes the edges of the device and treats unintended areas. Make sure you are wearing the glasses to protect your eyes. The INIA won’t fire unless the entire window is covered with skin. Both are excellent devices though. If you want a good IPL at a less expensive price, INIA. If you want a bit higher quality and don’t mind unintended treatment of areas where IPL escapes, Ulike. If I had to choose between the two, it would be difficult because I like them both. PS: be on the lookout, I received a Braun IPL to test and review and I will be comparing it to these two. Original review: This is the third IPL I have ordered. I’m going to compare this IPL with the other two. My first IPL is by INIA and it is phenomenal so Ulike has a high bar. The second one I ordered was junk and last I checked had been removed by the seller so I won’t waste your time with info on it. I’ll just say it did not work. The competition between it and INIA was hands down, INIA. Ulike IPL is a fair rival to the INIA. It comes with a very nice case to store everything in. Off the bat, it is one advantage over INIA. The quality of Ulike is superb. I like the double flash it provides, and it makes me feel like it is stronger than the INIA. It’s construction feels solid and if very good quality. The IPL seems to fire brighter than the INIA as well. It also has a cooler cooling effect and likely because it fires hotter than the INIA. I am comparing these two IPLs on my armpits and using both on their highest setting. I am using them daily for a fair comparison. When I first used my INIA, that’s what I do (bikini mode and highest setting combined) I used it daily because I knew I’d be away for 10 days and unable to use it. I had ZERO hair regrowth in that period. I’m hopeful Ulike will be the same. One big difference I noticed between INIA and Ulike is INIA’s maintenance schedule is once per year as opposed to Ulike’s which is every two weeks- to me, that is not permanent hair removal. With INIA, I did get lazy and had some hair regrow, but this was after months of not using it. It did not hurt, nor did it burn my skin. The double flash of the Ulike makes the process pretty quick. Ulike Laser Hair Removal. Air 10 Deluxe Version. Set includes: Large pink zippered case. Hair remover laser in metallic purple. Power cord. Instruction manual. Mini bladed razor. A gorgeous set. High-end in appearance. The case itself is beyond impressive, each item nestling firmly into the areas specifically for the item. The quilted flap protects the surface of the laser from being scratched by the items in the mesh area. As someone with smaller hands, I do believe the laser is a bit cumbersome to hold for extended periods of time. A slight bend in the overall shape would make it easy to hold, particularly for the thumb. With that being said, I do have another laser that is shaped nearly identical, so perhaps the shape is due to holding all the mechanics inside. I've gone through countless hours of electrolysis, waxing, and using a manual razor, along with professional lasering at a dermatologist. I also have 4 different at-home laser treatment wands. My pain threshold is high, so I'm not good at figuring out a level for others. I found the overall process painless, quick and effortless. The instructions were on-point, easy to follow and understand, from start to finish. Double-check the skin tone versus hair color guide as that is important on the overall results. The paler the skin, the darker the hair, the better the results, as the laser detects the contrast to be effective. Luckily I have dark hair in the removal locations. Unlucky for me, I also have nearly translucent hair, along with my natural auburn shade, where the laser isn't as effective at removal. While it states that you'll see results in about 2 weeks, this is a long-term process where you may not see results for a while, then suddenly you will notice a big difference. Consistency is key. Use the laser even if you don't see a difference, on a schedule, and eventually there will be a major difference. While pricy, the ability to use the laser at home, on your own time, on a schedule of your own choosing, on any body part you wish, in the privacy and comfort in your own home, without having to pay for each treatment, is absolutely invaluable. 2 cons to mention: slightly cumbersome for those with smaller hands, and I wish the were refill heads for the mini razor. I do believe Venus razor refills fit the mini handle. High-end in appearance, excellent quality, and a good value for the items included, I recommend this laser hair remover set. I am beyond pleased.
