I have been giving this to my male Italian Greyhound for a little over a year. He is almost 19 now. I started because he was not doing well after his "sister" dog died & mom was in the hospital a few nights. He got sick probably from stress & had to be on antibiotics. I felt he needed the best nutrition he could have. He has had pancreatitis in the past but tolerates this well, I add it to soft food in the evening meal and he eats it right up. I’ve purchased Ultimate Pet Nutrition Nutra Thrive Canine 6 times, hoping to see improvements in my dog’s digestion, immune support, and overall health, but I have seen no results. For a supplement that costs over $30 per jar, I expected noticeable benefits, but there’s been zero difference. On top of that, I keep receiving the same batch (manufactured June 15, 2023) every single time, even though my most recent order was delivered on February 21, 2025. That means the product is nearly two years old, and with an expiration date of June 15, 2025, I only have three months left to use it. This is unacceptable for a premium-priced supplement. After I left my initial review about the short shelf life, the brand reached out to me first. When I explained the issue, their response was: 'This is a 30-day supply, so you should have more than enough time to use the product before expiration. Please reach out if you are not able to use the product before it expires.' This response completely ignores the real issue—why am I receiving product that is already so old? A supplement should arrive with a reasonable shelf life, not something that has been sitting in a warehouse for nearly two years. Instead of acknowledging this, the brand acted like the problem was mine to solve. Extremely disappointed—not only with the product’s lack of results but also with the poor customer service and quality control. I will not be repurchasing. My pomsky just turned 10 but still is active and energetic like a younger dog. I mix it easily into his food and he has never not eaten it. Definitely start slow to avoid diarrhea.
