It tracks. So what? Put a little cheap washable bathroom rug next to the litter box and your kittys paws will drop the bits of litter before they get far. You do have to "stir" it every day. Yes EVERY DAY. This is essential for it to work as advertised. If you didn't stir it, and remove the one poop per day, then don;t complain it didn't last. I'll forgive you if you forget to stir it once a week, but not twice. It lasts about three weeks before you have to swap it out. There used to be better ones out there that lasted longer with smaller amounts, but those are no longer made. Stick with the micro. And use more, if it's not lasting three weeks, even with stirring. I have two cats. It takes four bags every three weeks, possibly four. Don't be tempted by brands that use those jagged chunks. Those jagged chunks will hurt and cut up your cat's paws. The micro has more of the texture of sand. It has some dust so wear a mask if you're prone to asthma. Especially at change time. The most awesome part of this is that the litter box itself won't need to be replaced or vigorously washed except maybe once a year. I've had the same litter boxes for five years. The crystals keep everything dry so there's no chance of getting germs ground into the plastic making it stink even if you replace the litter. That does happen with the clay litter. What's even more amazing is, there's no added fragrance to the crystals. They're odorless. They're not masking an odor, they're absorbing it. Put this in "saved for later" in your cart and when you notice the price has come down, stock up. There used to be a larger size half-round litter pearls version of the crystal litter. It didn't roll around everywhere but it did track more than this. You still had to use the bathroom rug trick to keep it from going all over. I miss that. It worked better than the micro crystals. This Micro Crystal cat litter has been a game changer for me. It is Amazing! After trying every product on the market over the years this is the one that I have been the most impressed by. I put one bag in and replace every month. Remove the solid waste and give it a stir occasionally. No odor, no “concrete” urine clumps , no mess around the litter box, no giant pails or heavy bags, no deep cleaning litter box every week and overall cost effective. Some of the negative reviews appear to be about different types of litter based on videos that look nothing like this brand of litter. Also I have had zero white dust. The media could not be loaded. It says it's 99.9% dust-free, but... that's not true at all! It releases dust, a lot of dust, it's just so fine that you can't see it with the naked eye. I noticed this one morning when I was cleaning my cats' litter box and the sun's rays shone directly on it, revealing the cloud of dust that rises every time I scoop the litter. You can see it clearly in the video because I turned off the lights and illuminated the litter box with a flashligh... It's a lot of dust!! If it weren't for this one issue, this would be the best cat litter because it seems magical! The urine disappears before your eyes when you mix it properly with the dry crystals, and the feces don't emit any odor. This product is truly impressive, and I was thrilled with it until I noticed the dust, which worries me because of the potential health risks for my cats and myself. I have three cats and have been using this litter for a week, and it still looks almost new, except for the slight yellowish tint it's starting to develop. I used one bag for each of the litter boxes (I have two), and it's working magnificently so far. Getting a cat was not on my bingo card for 2025, but like they say the cat distribution system threw in a wild card. I love cats, but I hate litter boxes and that was my sole reason for not wanting a cat. We had cats years ago and seriously, no one enjoys cleaning a litter box, but the smell is the worst. I bought these crystals and what a game changer. He has no trouble using it. I don't grind it tracked all over and it really does last 30 days. I ask everyone who comes over to be honest with me and tell me if they smell cat litter because sometimes we become nose blind and everyone has said no including my adult children who wouldn't tiptoe around something like that. I have just one cat, and this litter started to smell strongly after only 15 days. It really doesn’t kick up dust, which is great. Maybe it works better in very small litter boxes, but I’m not sure. Read more
