Easy to Install â Just Make Sure to Set It Up Right
I recently installed the ULTRALOQ Bolt Fingerprint Smart Lock and was pleasantly surprised at how quick and easy the installation was. The only part that threw me off at first was the setup â I added it straight to Apple Home, which caused the lock to turn in the wrong direction and not open correctly. Turns out, you need to first add the lock through the ULTRALOQ app so it can calibrate and detect the deadbolt direction. Once I did that, everything worked perfectly. Now that itâs properly set up, I love how seamlessly it works with Apple Home. For the features it offers, the price is very reasonable compared to other smart locks. Functional and easy to use
I installed this a few days ago. The apparatus would get five stars but the setup instructions are terrible. If you introduce the device to Apple Home (which is what you get when you scan the QR code provided), you will be unable to set it up on U home -- which is the only way to get it to function. So after two frustrating hours of rebooting and reinitiating, getting stuck at various junctures, I was able to successfully install the device on U home and could see right away that it was going to work. (I then also set it up on Apple Home, but it's not clear to me why I would want to use that app -- although it does tell me that after 4 days of use, the battery is at 97%. This is worth monitoring. The company claims long battery life but I'm a tad skeptical.) Bottom line: Ease of installation (the problem is the instructions) -- poor. Ease of use -- excellent. This new generation is much better than the last. Love it takes Lithium ion batteries and they last much longer. Fingerprint scanner is more robust and responsive. Read more

Impossible calibration, it never fully locks your house.
2 hours trouble shooting the install and it's still not calibrated. The magnet sensor is unusually large to. It won't fit a lot of door jambs so you need to buy your own magnet. One of the two I bought did eventually work. Read more

Simple, easy, and the app is excellent and easy to navigate network. The finish and style look great on the door and use your phone/app, watch, fingerprints, or codes (and temp codes for guests) for access.
