I am in my 50s and retainers are long behind me, so I did not buy this for dental gear. We picked it up to clean jewelry and other small items that slowly collect grime over time. My first impression was that it was smaller than I expected. I thought it would be about twenty percent larger, but I decided to try it anyway. Setup was simple. I followed the directions, filled it with water, removed the band from my Apple Watch, and dropped it in for its first cleaning cycle. The result was… disturbing. When the cycle finished the water looked like black soup. Apparently all that had been quietly living on my wrist the entire time. That was enough proof for me that the thing works. The size does limit what you can clean, but for jewelry, watch bands, and other small items it does a good job. Just be prepared for the moment when you realize how dirty the things you wear every day actually are. One warning though. After seeing what came out of my watch band, I am not sure I am ready to put my toothbrush in this thing. Once you see the soup, you cannot unsee it. At about $50, it's not a solid bargain. I have no experience with ultrasonic cleaners but this seems to be well made and did a nice job of cleaning my rings.It was surprisingly quiet and easy to operate. It’s small so it doesn’t take up much storage or counter space, it comes with a detachable power cord, a couple of cleaning tablets, an tweezer like implement that I assume is for placing and removing objects from the ultrasonic cleaner, and a soft cloth for polishing and drying. My main purpose for purchasing this item is for dentures- which I’ll be getting in a month or so. I will update this review if this doesn’t meet my expectations, but I don’t foresee any difficulties. Cleaned my ring very well. Rechargeable. Made my 12 year old wedding band look shiny and new again. Super simple to use. Great quality. Love that it gives you everything you need to get started and its portable and compact. One thing I did notice is it can't be plugged in to be used or had to be unplugged but not a big deal for an amazing product. Read more
