The good: This is a very pretty lamp and I have it set up in my medical spa treatment room to give a relaxing ambiance during some treatments. It casts a nice glow on the room when the main light is off. We don't use it for massage balls but its neat to have that option. The bad: one of the salt balls is a very differnt color -off white, while the rest are orangish. It would look better if the color was consistant throughout. The lighbulb blew after about 12 uses of the lamp. The ugly: The lightbulb was almost impossible to change after it blew. After a lot of time consumed trying to pull the inner fixture with cage through the hole as it is supposed to be able to do, I finally used a screw driver to remove the entire bottom unit. Even then it was difficult to extract the inner chamber to get at the bulb. I had to use pliers to force it apart. This is a really bad design on that aspect. I'm only taking off 1 star for that because overall its a nice lamp once you get past that. Maybe I'll rig the fixture together a bit different so its easier to change the bulb. Read more

The salt was fine, but the first time I plugged it in the bulb shattered. The other replacement bulbs were shattered as well. I bought some replacement bulbs and the bulb worked, but didn't dim anymore. The cord with the on/off switch got really hot when turned on for several hours. I went to turn it on today and it didn't come on. I requested a return and Amazon refunded my money but didn't ask for the lamp back. Piece of junk, I have a previous one from Himalayan Trading Co.
