These boots run true to size. However, when I first got them they seemed too small. Or rather, they just fit but I wanted to add my own insoles and there wasn't enough room initially. The insoles that they came with leave something to be desired. Meaning, almost completely flat without support nor padding. Luckily after wearing the boots a few times they got stretched out enough to be able to add my own insoles. Phew, because now I like them so much more. The weather here has been in the upper teens and 20s and these keep my feet toasty warm. The cons are that they feel like they will fall apart at any second. But time will tell. Also, they are both too stiff and too flimsy. The soles are very ridged and don’t offer much flexibility. Whereas the ankles and upper parts of the boots don't offer much in the way of support. But regardless, they’re still comfortable enough that I wear them daily. And the traction rocks!! I haven’t slipped once yet in them and that’s saying something. Like for reals, I was just out walking with my friend, and she was slipping down the hill (in snow boots) but not me!!! I was thrilled to not be sliding down the hill on my butt. I received these just in time for our third snow storm of the year. They're comfortable and have great grip, plus keep my feet warm. The storm happened to be a blizzard that I had to take my dogs out in to walk them because we were at a hotel for appointments out of town. Iowa storms are no joke. So, I'm not going to tell you something like this if it weren't correct. I was glad I took a chance and purchased them. The fit was a little large but I'm not wearing thick socks and the boots are keeping my feet very warm. They look good with jeans, sweats or whatever I wear and they seem to be well put together. I have never in my life liked wearing boots. Growing up in Chicago, they were a way of like, far too restrictive, heavy, clunky, hard to walk in and feet still got wet. Moved to the gulf coast where its flip flop weather almost all year round, and if its chilly, I just hide inside till it warms back up. Well, one of my kids moved up north and I needed a pair to visit him. I got the opportunity to wear them today. Cold, rainy, had to go out in the weather so I tried these on. I recently dropped a cinder block on my foot and even still sore and puffy, these boots were comfortable. Im delightfully fluffy, and even with my calves, these fit wonderfully. Walking in them is a dream. I can now take the dogs for a walk in the winter without worrying about getting my feet wet in bad weather. And, I could totally do the 3 mile full walk without pain, and I have terrible feet. I'm going back for other colors! They are warm with just athletic socks on and they weren't too hot, my feet were not sweating. I even just went into my 3 day raining, swamp of a backyard to poop scoop and get the dogs out and my feet were cozy and dry. These feel like they would last forever. I didn't even feel silly walking around with them on considering we live in the gulf coast. They were stylish and cute. You can get two or three pair for the price. I’m torn between four and five stars for these snow boots. The included removable insole is a joke, rock hard with zero padding. Separate insoles will be a MUST if you plan to wear them longer than 20 minutes at a time. They also wrinkle very quickly and easily. But they’re just so cute. True to size. The bottoms are very treaded and they even feel grippy, not like a regular shoe bottom. I haven’t yet had the chance to wear them in snow/ice, but I think they’ll be excellent. The faux fur is very soft and covers the entire inside of the boot. Their current sale price of $39 seems like a good value. I’m actually hoping we get snow this year so I can truly test them out!
