This is the only product I use for my teeth. I have noticed whiter, stronger teeth. The taste takes some time to get used to but it’s not bad and I actually prefer it now over other products used for brushing. Best result, no cavities at any check ups since I switched to this product. It’s gentle on my teeth and gums and I believe it helps with regeneration of enamel. Read more
This is the most effective tooth product I’ve tried, and I can’t say enough good things about it. I’ve been using this product for years and have converted many friends and family members away from conventional toothpastes. Since using this product, I almost never get cavities anymore, and for years I struggled with root canals and gingivitis. Eventually after doing a lot of research on my own, I learned that it was the glycerin in conventional toothpaste that was causing my tooth problems. Glycerin is a sweet, sticky substance and is a byproduct of the soap industry. It’s removed from natural soap because of its humectant properties and the manufacturers make more money by selling it to skin care companies to add to their creams and lotions. Added to toothpaste, it adds sweetness and a smooth texture, however it is not a desirable ingredient, it actually causes plaque because it’s so sticky and cannot be easily removed from your teeth. Toothpaste manufacturers won’t tell you that and dentists seem to be ignorant of this, or they don’t say anything because there’s no business in it for them if your teeth and gums are healthy. Now when I go to the dentist, he wonders why my mouth and gums are so much healthier. Since he swears by fluoride (another product to stay away from), I just tell him it’s the water pic I’m using, it’s easier for him to swallow. I do want to note that all tooth powders are not created equally. I recently heard about Frau Fowler’s tooth products and thought I would give them a try. I was very disappointed in their product. The main ingredient is baking soda, a cheap ingredient, and they add sweeteners (stevia and xylitol), which are supposed to give it flavor. After a few days of using it, I developed mouth sores. Uncle Harry’s is a very strong flavored product and takes some getting used to, but the pure essential oils and mustard seed powder they use are so beneficial for our oral health, you just use a lot less. Yes it’s salty at first, give yourself time to adjust. It’s not supposed to taste like candy, but it will make your mouth and teeth fresh and clean, you have to try it to believe it. An 8 oz bottle of tooth powder lasts me about 8-9 months. My only complaint is that Amazon stopped selling the tooth powder on Prime, so I’m now ordering directly from Uncle Harry’s website, where it is about half the price. I have no affiliation with Uncle Harry’s company, just trying to help others who have had a lifetime of tooth and gum issues like me. Give this tooth powder a try for 6 months and see what your dentist says on your next visit. Just remember to tell him you’ve been using a water pic, because he won’t believe it’s because you stopped using fluoride toothpaste. Read more
My teeth are cleaner, healthier, and I have far fewer issues at the dentist after converting to this tooth powder after my auto immune disease diagnosis. Switching to a cleaner toothpaste with fewer ingredients and no immune stimulates or suppressants has been life changing in the health of my teeth! Added benefit that it’s super easy for travel and the taste isn’t off putting. Read more
Love this stuff. I won’t go back to toothpaste again. I have had sensitive teeth and gums that bleed for several years now. The first bottle we bought of this stuff, I wasn’t crazy about the taste... it’s very different if you are used to very sweet and strong mint flavored toothpastes (even the natural one we’d used previously) . I don’t like to waste stuff so we used it even though I didn’t love the taste. After a week or two I actually started to like the taste/texture, but more so, I liked how my mouth felt after brushing. It felt actually CLEAN instead of still a bit meh, but very minty tasting like it always felt with toothpaste. And then I noticed my gums weren’t bleeding anymore!? My husband’s experience was similar... We used that whole little 2oz bottle up (it took forever, this stuff really goes a long way!) and then switched back to a natural toothpaste to use up a tube we had found in the back of our medicine cabinet. Yuck! I can’t stand the taste of toothpaste now. I feel like it’s just covering up the day’s food particles or my morning breath with a heavily sweetened mint taste instead of actually cleaning my teeth?! My teeth started being overly sensitive to temperature changes again , And then my gums started bleeding, all over again... . We finished that tube and then bought the biggest bottle of Uncle harry’s Tooth powder we could find on here! That way we won’t run out ever again! Once again my mouth feels great, my teeth feel less sensitive already, and my gums have stopped bleeding again... Give a bottle of Uncle Harry’s a try, your mouth will thank you! Read more
When I ordered this originally, it came with the tamper seal ripped off, but I was able to return and exchange for a new one relatively easily and quickly. I started using this after trying Uncle Harry's toothpaste. I think I do prefer the tooth powder. The tooth powder doesn't feel as strong and overpowering as the toothpaste, but it still packs a good punch. It's so refreshing to brush with this, it instantly freshens my breath. I do think I've had much less plaque build up when using the tooth powder, it has a good abrasive feel. The taste is "salty" if you're not used to it, but it's much more of a minty flavor. Other toothpastes taste overly sweet now. Read more
