These were admittedly stiff at first and I almost returned them, but stuck it out for two games and they transformed completely. The mid-top design gives great ankle support without restricting movement, and they've been perfect for slow pitch ever since. Needed for flag football. My son says they are more comfortable than he expected. I ordered a half size up. Even though these are " for softball", the spikes are all in the right places and he said the function of the grip was excellent on the turf. They came as described/ expected, the color and print were simple enough. Seems like it was an excellent purchase. Hopefully they will hold up until he out grows them, or for most of the season. Overall, no complaints. These seem to be a decent quality cleat at an entry level price point. Just as with nearly all cleats on the market, they are narrow, so if you have very wide feet, you need to expect a break-in period. They do run small, so I’d recommend buying at least a half size over your true size. I ended up with 1 full size larger than what I normally wear (which is the reason for the 4 stars rather than 5, as I had to exchange them for a larger size due to them running small). My 11-year-old son feet grow so fast. I can’t keep him in shoes. We needed a good pair of cleats for a price that wouldn’t break the bank as we will probably need to buy another pair in a few months. These are great! They give him ankle support while not being too heavy or stiff. They’re decently easy to clean and grip the dirt well. He says they’re comfortable and are true to size.
