We have a slow pitch tournament at our youth league for the coaches to be able to get out and play every season. The fall game we played in was quite chilly. We started the day off at 30 degrees Fahrenheit and ended around 50 degrees Fahrenheit. This base layer kept me perfectly comfortable all day. The fit was excellent. This was my first time wearing anything of this nature so I was skeptical about staying warm. As I have gotten older, I find myself getting colder in our long Upper Peninsula winters. As a result, I was looking for something that I could wear underneath my every day pants to provide more warmth, whether inside the house or outside. These fit the bill perfectly. Expected packaging and style as that one review showing the box. Its the same box i saw at store. They didnt have size so i bought here. They delivered one with totally different packaging. Not sure if it is newer or older make. Box says coldgear instead of base 2. But product has base 2 branding. The waffling is also different. The coldgear 2.0 i received has bigger waffling than the base 2 material top that i also bought. But the coldgear 2.0 is lots warmer though. So glad i didnt get the 3. It would have been too warm. UA is my go to for base layers. After working outside for a couple decades I learned what works. I wear these 2.0 during cold months in NJ. They are comfortable, breathe well & are not restrictive at all. They perform as described, I definitely recommend this item. While everyone is freezing walking to their cars, or running their errands outside, I can take my time. I’m warm. If the temps really drop I will switch to 3.0 or 4.0. Read more
He hunts and is outdoors working so if anyone knows what they want for warm under clothing then it's him. Northeast weather... it's not Saskatchewan but it get cold. Being a carpenter he is on his knees quite a bit and his pants will rip after a while. I'm surprised at how long the base layer takes before it gives out under those conditions.
