My husband was in search of comfortable, lightweight shorts that he could wear for workouts and relaxing at home. The Project Rock Terry Shorts fit the bill perfectly. 7/26/25 These arrived a few days ago and I finally put them on today. They’re UA so they’re good but they are definitely heavier and thicker than I thought or ever would have expected. But sizing is as expected. Like I’d have no issue ever wearing them in near zero weather with being outside nearly the whole day (I am a warm body so shorts around freezing in and out during the day is no issue) or instead of when I’d usually wear jeans or pants. Like house is cold or furnace can’t keep up with the sub-Arctic temps outside. We’ll see how they do after their first wash. I’ll update if/as I find anything. Read more

WHAT I LIKE - The material is a cotton / polyester blend (80% cotton, 20% polyester). These shorts feel super soft and plush, and feels gentle against the skin. - Wore these shorts for outdoor runs - they did a good job of wicking moisture and are breathable. - The shorts have gone through the wash a couple of times, I feel they've gotten softer. Couple of things to be aware of based on my use. The pockets are deep and can hold phones, keys, etc. But since they are loose fitting, it gets very uncomfortable if you are running with keys in the pockets. The other thing is - there was some shedding after the wash/dry cycle. I expect that to reduce over time. Overall very happy with these shorts. Read more

Real big fan of these. I am preferring slightly shorter inseam shorts these days from the 10 inch basketball shorts I would rock in the past. These are a good choice, the material is soft, hemmed well, pockets are a bit further back and almost directly on the side; just an observation rather than a complaint. The drawstring is on the outside which is fine but my experience is that it's not tying as tight as I'd like and having just a phone, airpods and a small set of keys is making the shorts sag more than they should. They also may be a little too large for the sizing, I'd consider going a size down from where you are; I have pretty large thighs and a wider waist and they're still struggling to stay up. Read more

I have become a fan of Project Rock and these are solid shorts. Very short of course and probably a bit too short for me to wear to the gym. If you have longer thighs, these may hike up a bit too much. But I live in FL so i can enjoy these around the house Seams and material are top notch and will stay together even with extreme wear. A bit pricey on the Project Rock line, but they are a notch above the regular UA line. Read more
