The book is cute, with explanations simple and to the point. My 5yr old was so excited when she received this book. We read it to her from the moment we got it out of the box till she went to bed. We read it again the next day and on the following morning she finally went on the potty. She had been withholding every other time I tried to teach her how to use the potty. I tried other books and potty charts and rewards even a potty watch but nothing gave her inspiration until this book. To any parent struggling with their child resisting to use the potty, keep trying until you find what your child is inspired by. I also got a unicorn chart with magnetic stickers and found some training underwear that had a couple of underwear with unicorn print. I showed everything to her and told her my expectations for the day we were going to try again and it all just came together. She did resist at first but after some encouragement and patience and going over the expectations again, she finally overcame her fear. Read more

We're going to potty train soon and my girl loves books so I grabbed this to get her used to the idea. She likes it but from a potty training perspective its just ok. Liked very much the simplicity of this book with it's rhyme themes! The pictures are bold and the colors are bright and my Grands are fans of Unicorns!(There's a little rhyme for you, Lol) My GrandTwins enjoy learning how to potty with this book. My almost 3 year old LOVES unicorns, so this was an obvious choice. I am so glad I found this! Potty training can bring out the crude and rude (fine if that's your thing, but that's not what I was looking for) but this was perfectly tasteful. I am pleased with the pictures, the text, and the overall value. It's a good amount of time to read aloud while your kiddo tries to potty, and the rhyming helps it sink in. (After just once or twice through the book, Little Miss was able to predict the ending rhyme sound- as a teacher, this makes my heart soar) I would 100% recommend.
