External Hard drive for storage
Very high quality external hard drive. I’m using this to store my work documents and photos to keep space on my computer hard drive. Data transfer speed is fast and everything is instantly available when needed. This is better than cloud storage. Read more
No hassle Mac pairing.
Complete with USB type 4 plug into computer and USB 3 into HD cord. What can I say? Nice discrete unit that fired up immediately connected to my MAC. I erased/formatted APFS to use as a backup drive using Carbon Copy Cloner. I have no experience with UnionSine quality/durability as yet. I ordered two for alternative drives in my backup scheme. Doing well under HIGH read/write cyle usage
Purchased this drive to use with a small, stand alone DVR unit for recording OTA broadcasts. Been using almost daily for several months now, either recording or playing back shows from it. Recordings ranging from 30-minutes to up to 2-hrs per write/read cycle. Working 100% of time. Read more

Slow, but serves it's purpose.
This 1TB USB drove is nicely made, and compact in size but has one major issue... It is SLOOOOOW! Working in IT, I have access to all sorts of testing tools, and even though this was connected to a highspeed USB3.0 port, I was getting really poor read/wrote speeds. Is this bad, no. It just means that if you plan to copy lots of files, it is going to take some time. The available space is as advertised, and according to disk info, it is not an old recycled drive, plastered into a new case, which is good. I did have a small issue when first connecting it as Windows would detect it then loose it. This happened for about the first 5 minutes, repeatedly but then worked fine after that. It was nice and quiet when running the tests, so it shouldn't be annoying sounding while using. Best advise, use this for long term storage of old photos, videos, music, documents, etc. do not plan to use this as a day to day quick access drive. Read more
