I used this weather stripping on our back basement door, the one we constantly open to let the dogs out, and it made an immediate difference. That door usually lets in a lot of cold air, but as soon as I applied the seal, the draft stopped completely. It was very easy to install. My apartment has windows and doors that are from I think the 60s and have little to know weatherstripping so in this recent cold snap in New York City, I decided to try and add some weatherstripping to stop some of the cold air leaking through the gaps between the window. This product worked really well, I made sure to wipe down the area first with rubbing alcohol. I was worried that it wouldn’t adhere due to the cold and how cold the frame was, but it’s stuck on fine and it held up well the past few weeks. I installed this on my sliding glass door where I have a doggy door installed, which always leaves a gap between the two sliding panels. I really wanted to love this tape but unfortunately it would not stay put. It was only minutes after I put it on that it came off. I’ve had to tape the ends to the door with clear tape to keep it up. I do think it would help keep the draft out, if it would stick on its own that would have been better. Read more
