This tire repair buffer is very similar to my air die grinder but is designed specifically for the torque and RPMs appropriate to tire surface preparation. It doesn't require any feathering to prevent melting due to speed and it has the torque necessary to not bog down. I like that the kit comes with extra burr heads in various sizes. As a DIY home mechanic this is more of a luxury for my infrequent tire repairs but for frequent use this tool is a must have. I also appreciate that the kit comes with a quality stitch tool and a scraper. I add 2 drops of tool oil before each use just to keep the tool happy. First off, the seller's description page is a bit misleading. I received 4 buffing wheels, not 5 as shown in the picture. That said, I really like this powerful buffer. The buffing wheels are aggressive. And the quick change collet works quickly and smoothly. (push UP to release) The buffer as a whole weighs in at nearly 2lbs, 13oz. complete with lg. buffing wheel and hose. It has a nice weight to it and has a variable speed trigger. The extra hose that slips over the main air hose that is clamped to the body, acts as a muffler, and is effective. The scrapper and patch roller (3/16") are good quality. At a $60 price point, with all included tools, it's a recommended buy!! TIPS; Be sure to add a few drops of air lube oil to the inlet hose prior to use. This is a very nice tool set. The buffer tool has a whip hose on it which makes it more maneuverable than my previous tool which connected directly to an air hose. The throttle is easy to operate, giving me precise control over the buffing procedure. It even came with a stitching tool and a scraper. Always good to have backups. This kit works great. However, I didn't like the fitting on the bottom of the device because it made manipulating the air hose kind of difficult, so I swapped it to a swivel fitting. Using this with a swivel fitting made a huge difference. The different buffing attachments help, and the stitcher was an added value for me. Read more

For years, I've repaired tires the cheap way by simply using a plug kit from the outside of the tire and that's been effective for the majority of repairs but I recently got a tire machine in my shop and now have the capability to dismount the tire and actually install a proper repair patch. I ordered this air buffer and am really impressed by how well it prepares the surface inside the tire for the patch. It comes with several heads and everything you'll need in the kit to use the tool. Good tire repair kit equipment for those who repair tires, or the home mechanic. Almost everything you need to patch the tire inside. The only thing missing is the patch and cement. All items are well made, down to the grinding tool and head attachment. A good value for the money. Please keep in mind that I am lucky enough to have a tire machine and compressor in my garage which is required to use the tool to internally repair and patch the tire internally. Read more
