Neat cooling stand but some issues

I got this for our Xbox Series S and it’s a neat kit. It comes with the main cooler stand which fits our Xbox perfectly and allows it to balance upright and features 3 separate fan speeds which can all be toggled from the base. The base also has a variety of RGB color modes and a couple of spots to keep your controllers charged. Finally, a headset clip for those that have a dedicated headset for their console. I experienced a couple of issues with mine. I couldn’t get my controllers with rechargeable batteries to work with the dock. None of them seemed to be receiving power, even after reseating them multiple times. I did have the base connected to the back of our Xbox so it’s possible it could be due to a power limitation. I tried different ports to the same effect. However, this leads into the second item, which is that this kit only came with a user manual in Chinese, so I’m not sure if it was intended to be plugged into a separate power source? Unfortunately, the product page also doesn’t indicate that the stand needs to be used with a separate power source, so I’m kind of at a loss with it and ended up just buying a separate rechargeable battery kit and dock. Overall, very cool looking cooler stand and outside of the charging issue it works fine. Just wish there would’ve been better instructions so I could’ve known if it was something I did wrong.
