The instructions state the pen is pre-charged & ready to use. Mine wasn't. I plugged it into my laptop's USB port & left it for several hours while the yellow light continued to flash. After 6hrs, I removed it & attempted to start the camera. No light. The website given in the documentation is a dead, last activity December of 2019. No how-to video as promised. tbh I bought this to film prank videos. Putting the pen in your pocket and using the clip to hold it in place as you move about frees your hands and opens the possibilities. It also is great because people don’t notice it at all so the reactions that I get are fantastic since people act differently if I’m holding my iPhone in their face. This thing is great!! One thing I should mention is that you need an AVI video player (they are free everywhere) Supreme Lite Player is the one I use. This is a great quality spy pen! The body is made of metal (I assume aluminum) and feels very sturdy. The picture quality is great too especially for how tiny the camera is! Another thing I found was that since its metal and looks like a legitimate deluxe pen you can’t notice the lens where in my cheaper plastic pens you can see it immediately. I bought this as a gift for a nephew and gave it a test run because there’s other listings that have a lot of negative feedback. But this one has only gotten positive reviews… skeptical I tested it and after reading the instructions its super easy to operate and record. The directions are written very well and easy to understand if English isn’t your first language (like me). You’ll need to edit the date stamp file (easy) and get an AVI player (free) because it won’t play on quicktime… At first I thought this was a little strange why it’s not able to play on quicktime but I guess it gives you an extra layer of defense if your SD card ever gets found! lol Read more
