I just returned from a short trip, and I love how this small suitcase/carry-on performs. I was able to pack a lot of clothes into this strong case. The quality and durability are excellent, and I would recommend it to other travelers and friends. Read more
Came across this while looking for hard sided, zipper-free carryon bag. It only had 2-3 reviews (all incentivized) so I was skeptical, but decided to give it a try out- given its price. It’s a well thought out and appointed bag, with some neat party tricks (like the cup holder, phone stand, and charging ports). The laptop/side door is convenient and easily accessible. The interior is appropriately lined and it comes with a secure interior straps and buckle. Overall it feels pretty solid and it rolls nicely. Are there other carry-ons that are more durable and more “premium”? Certainly. But you will pay at least two or three times what you will pay for this. Overall I’m happy with it. I take care of my things, and don’t push them to their limits- so I expect this will last me a while for leisure travel. Traveling home with this for the holidays, so I will update if there are any unforeseen issues with durability or usability. But for now I’m “Pleasantly Surprised”. Read more
The suitcase had a sleek and stylish design, and my first impression was great. However, the first issue I encountered was that it didn’t fit my laptop—if you have a larger laptop, this might not be the best option. That said, the built-in cup holder and phone holder were convenient, and the charging port was a fantastic feature. First impressions was this was a really nice piece of luggage. I really wanted to keep this luggage, even though my laptop didn't fit. But on our very first trip, we had to gate-check it. While gate-checking is generally gentler on luggage than standard checked baggage, this suitcase didn't survive. I’m not sure if the damage was existing before the trip and I just didn't notice, or if the gate check procedure damaged it. Unfortunately, when we got to the hotel and I was unpacking, I noticed a significant dent on the side near the lock. The dent wasn’t immediately noticeable due to the color, but what really stood out to me were the small brads used to attach the trim—they were so shallow that the trim didn’t stay attached to the side and pulled away from the dent. This suitcase didn’t even make it through one flight intact, which was disappointing. The concept is excellent, but the craftsmanship is lacking. I’m not confident it would hold up over time, especially compared to my other luggage, which has endured much more wear and tear without falling apart. Great idea, poor execution. If you don't plan on flying with this case, and you have a small laptop, this might be a good option, otherwise, I'd look for a more durable suitcase. Read more
pros: glides well, doesn’t show damage from checkin, well built. cons: heavier than most, volume is limited honestly worth the buy. the truth is it’s heavier than most carry ons but that weight makes it glide over carpet in the airport. also when checked in, it doesn’t take much abuse from transport. the volume is limited for bulky items so it’s really just a few days worth of clothes, but the upside is I don’t pack as much. The media could not be loaded. Super excited about this carry on. Love all the specs that come with it. Only issue is it does not carry as much as you think a normal carry on would. I would give this 5 stars if you’re traveling for 2 nights/ 3 days tops (I’m traveling for 6) or for children. Also bear in mind I am plus size so my clothes are obviously bigger in the suitcase. Hope this helps out for those who are interested! May buy a checked sized one if they have it. Read more
I wanted to like this carry-on because the concept is good and the features seemed useful. The overall build quality felt cheap for the price, but I was still considering keeping it since everything initially worked fine. I changed the combination lock and tested it multiple times without any issues. However, when I went back later to actually pack it, the lock would not open at all. I followed the correct combination, but it simply would not release. Luckily, I hadn’t packed anything inside yet. If I had, this would have been a much bigger problem. The unreliable lock was the final dealbreaker for me, and I ended up returning it. For the price, I expected better quality and a dependable locking system. I would not recommend it. Read more
The airline completely abused my bag on its first flight out. Fortunately, UrbanExplorer replaced the bag with ZERO questions asked, but I did volunteer where the bag had broken. One of the locks wouldn’t reset and it was dented on one side. Received the replacement right away. I’m a new customer of UrbanExplorer and found the build quality fine and would buy another product from them when needed. The only thing was the smaller carry on bag couldn’t quite hold everything needed for a 10-day trip. But guess what? They didn’t claim they could. I love the fact that no one can cut through the non-existent zippers. Even with all my stuff and the bag itself, I came in under 30 pounds at the airport. Well done, all around! Read more
I love to travel and have had suitcases destroyed by baggage handlers. This little suitcase protects everything inside, and is small enough to carry on. It has so many added features that are normal suitcase does not have. Read more
