If I could rate this item more than five stars I would. My husband and I only do laundry once a week and hang dry all of our clothes other than socks and random misc. This hanging rack is sturdy, large, so easy to use, and we can hang three loads of laundry. It’s super easy to pack up and spread out, I can do it by myself. The three racks are awesome. Our Dryer had to be replaced and it was taking a long time to get the new one so we ordered this to hang laundry up in the meantime. It was easy to set up and take down and was sturdy enough for even wet towels. We plan to use it for drying bigger things like comforters now that our new dryer is installed. It also might come in handy to hang clothes with hangers on for a yard sale as well. The clips it comes with help the clothes to not blow off. It is stainless steel so it won't rust. The piece is aluminum. That means it's pretty lightweight. I cannot imagine using it outside without issues like it blowing over if there is a breeze. You can drape a weight across the stabilizing bar (and I use that term loosely, but it's ok for indoor use. I was replacing an old-fashioned umbrella-style hang the dry system, and what caught my eye was the telescoping heights you can set it at. In that respect, it works fine and I hung quite a few of my lady garments and blouses. It worked fine but needs to be handled with finesse. It is pretty unstable overall. The legs "lock" in place but it still wobbles so you need to apply some patience and get it balanced before hanging items. Probably would not hold up to heavy items well. I'll keep it as it does collapse down pretty well and for my needs, it is fine. If you are looking for stability, look elsewhere. If you want it for smaller items or delicates, it's alright. I bought two of these as a way to dry my 30 momme silk sheets after washing them. These sheets can't be placed in a dryer, and if placed on too small of a clothes line/rack, the sheets can be stretched out do to the weight of the wet silk. Setting two of the drying racks up and wrapping both of my queen sized sheets (one fitted, the other flat) allowed my sheets to dry perfectly without being stretched out. The clothing racks were easy to setup/put away, they held steady with the sheets on them, and they folded up tightly for efficient storage. While this likely isn't the use case for most people, hopefully it will be helpful to anyone else that bought expensive sheets without thinking through the practical care procedure first. Read more
I have been using this to dry diving equipment in my backyard and it has been awesome. I frequently drape 20# weight belts over it, and it holds up just fine. It was exactly what I expected it to be. I don’t believe it’s actual stainless steel, as it’s started to get a little rust around the joints, but it has served its purpose 10x over. The only thing I might mention is that it requires some care while disassembling, as some of the edges are sharp. I caught the edge of a sliding piece and sliced my finger pretty good. The legs aren't very sturdy, and the middle bar is so wobbly it's basically tin foil, but it works. I left a lot of clothes outside to air dry on a windy day and none of the hangers blew off or anything. I do like that it's lightweight and folds. I have a very small apartment and I'm always looking for space savers. Read more
