It’s nice to give a review for product that actually turns out to be exactly as it promises. This Atolla USB hub is exactly what I was looking for. I have several devices, including a microphone headset and several external backup drives. Once the headset is plugged in it overrides the computer speakers. Many times when I forget to unplug it I end up fiddling with the speakers, until sanity takes its course and I realize what the problem is. You’d think I would learn after several times, but well we’re only human. As for the external drives, if I soft-boot or reboot my computer, the computer will read the external drives as if they are the internal drive and not re-boot. Therefore you have to remember to disconnect the two external drives every time you want to reboot. That was a pain as well. And I actually did need some additional USB ports for other uses, having used up the ports on the computer. So I was delighted to see that not only does this have four ports and is designed to sit nicely on your desk next to your computer, but that each port has a switch next to it, so that you can turn it off and on even when it is still connected. Cooler still, when pressed, a blue LED lights up. This way of course I can keep all of these devices plugged in and simply hit the switch. It works perfectly, and is beautifully constructed and looks great. By the way, it also has another port on the side, specifically for charging. It’s a nice addition, though the other ports will charge devices as well. I’m not a big tech nerd, but I believe the difference is that the charge port may have a power limiter or fuse. Something honestly that is truly not a problem, unless you’re using the port to charge a power tool or a Toyota Echo! Nice to get something, as I said that meets if not exceeds expectations. This usb hub is compact and very nice. I like the fact that the cord is attached on the shorter side because it allows me to place it right next to my laptop where my desk is very crowded. I’ve seen those that have cord coming out on the longer side, and I assume it takes up more space than it’s actual size. Anyhow, it’s been working great for the past 5months, and I like the idea of on/off feature on each port because I don’t have to pull it out completely just to turn it off where I’m going to use it very soon again anyways. I believe pulling it out does some wear on the hardware of the usb. It’s small enough and lightweight. Also, the ports are parallel to each other and not lined up in a series and I think it’s definitely a plus in a practical way because if the usbs were wider in its body size, they would be competing for space (even though there are more than one port you’d have to skip one or something) if the ports were lined up. That’s not a concern with this hub. Lastly, the charging port is fancy and I can just connect it for charging without worrying about it being actually connected to my computer. So far, it’s been great in doing what it’s supposed to do and I’m satisfied with it. I have not found a major fault in it so far. Would recommend to my friends and family. Read more

Seems well built. I'm supporting two Thrustmaster MFD I/O devices for my game (Falcon BMS) off of this hub/splitter and it works great. Also have an HP Desk Jet printer hanging off of this too, and all three items work fine. I like the lights combined with the ability to selectively put each port 'on" or 'off". It's not a plug-it-in-and-all-ports-are-stuck-"on" thing. You can decide to turn on/off individual ports. I imagine this would help for power and data signal flow. Cord length is sufficient. I wasn't planning on running it far from the back of my computer anyway, so cord length is not an issue for me. If anything, since I wanted to leave it on the back of my computer (the other devices' cords themselves reach the computer, I only wanted more ports) the long cord is actually a small annoyance to me ( I had to accordion fold the cord and zip tie it to make neat cable management). I would prefer if they market two versions of this device - a stubby cord a few inches long and a long cord say 6-8 feet - and let us choose which. But I'm just nitpicking here, this product is awesome and is 3.0 standard (or at least it's colored blue, I have to trust, I have no special equipment to test it). Great device, I recommend. UPDATE (10-13-2025) STILL IN USE WITH 3 DRIVES - SCANNER - AND CHARGING iPHONE... NOT ONE ISSUE AND HAVE RANDOMLY UNPLUGGED AND THEN RE-PLUGGED. - Would buy more if I needed them - - -purchased early 2016 - flawless... Dependability is key... especially if HDD's or SDD's are connected for access or BU... Updating one system now and will continue to use on the new unit as both have worked flawlessly, so no reason to change. I have a number of systems and these hubs have been indispensable because they are essential invisible (meaning no problems or concerns) ... I did notice on one that a wireless mouse was erratic when used in conjunction with a couple of HDD's and a wireless keyboard on the same hub... so there might be that to consider depending on your setup Read more

i believe i bought these in 2022, and it still works like it's new! it works with Xbox, not a PC (or at least for me), which is okay to me. i love how there's 4 USB ports PLUS another that is always having power through it. you are able to change (at any point) when each of the 4 USB ports has power coming through it or not (so worth it IMO!!). it's not heavy at all, and easy to use. there's no "sound quality" from it, so i'm unsure why they're suggesting to have a part of my review mention that, LOL. it works really well, and lasts a long time.. get you one of these ✨✨ Read more
