Bought this 9‑in‑1 USB‑C hub expecting magic, got convenience and mild wizardry instead — now my MacBook has more ports than my patience for untangling cables. The price is great as well as the functionality. I am running 4 monitors and I’ve tried different port attachments and they didn’t work well. This has the perfect amount of port capacity. I am running 4 wireless & wired accessories with the usb ports. There are 2 usb C ports. I have one running to another bridge and the other to charge my cell or attach another laptop. The sd and micro sd readers work well and are a great addition as some don’t offer those. It has 1 HDMI port which I am using to power another monitor. It can work with a laptop that uses USBC ports or you can add an adapter to the USBC cable and it can work with other models that use usb, hdmi, etc. for the price, this is awesome and very versatile! I have an old ASUS zenbook pro with a USB_C/thunderbolt port. The HDMI port went bad so i got this. The HDMI port works great and is plug and play. However there are a few minor annoyances with the other functions. This has two USB-C ports, but one is charge only, however it does not charge my phone. So effetely i only have one useful port, luckily the data transfer one which is fast and works fine, but two would be better as opposed to the charge only port which doesn't work for me. Second, you can't use both the SD and micro-SD slot at the same time. Overall i think it's a good product, but could use some improvements, mainly two USB-C data ports. Read more
I found this product to be very practical due to its compact size, and I haven't run into any functional issues at all. However, it is a bit lightweight. This has come in handy for my Windows Surface Pro that only has two USB-C ports on the side. I've been able to connect an HDMI cable to display/extend my screen to my gaming monitor, wired keyboards/mouses, flash drives, SD cards, and even charge my phone, all with NO issues. INITIAL REVIEW: The instructions say you should use a 100 watt charger and that using a charger less than 65 watts "may result in failure to charge". I have a 60 watt power supply and not only will it not charge my laptop, none of the ports work either. The USB C port on my laptop is a thunderbolt port. UPDATE: I got a different power supply - a 65w model, and everything seems to work great. So, I updated my rating to 5 stars and I am keeping it. Read more
