This affordable bad-boy did exactly what I needed on my new iPad 10th Generation Tablet!! I just bought a new ROLAND V71 Digital Drum Module and the first thing that I needed to do was to update the FIRMWARE to the latest and most recent version. I wish to use my new iPad 10th Generation Tablet with this new Drum Module but the iPad does not have its own SD Card Slot. The solution? This xdgeLoad USB-C Type C SD Reader! I also purchased an SD Card here on Amazon. It was so easy and basically plug-n-play. Done very fast and correctly. This handy little reader will even work on my new SAMSUNG cellphone as it too utilizes the USB-C Type input, so theoretically I could have downloaded the FIRMWARE update onto my cellphone and performed the same operation as the iPad if I wanted to (unless there were a file size issue?). The card reader I had, had a lightning connection, so useless on the newer iPhones. I had a three in one card reader, but my phone does not recognize it. This one works perfect, just what I needed. I drive with a dash cam. If I get into an incident first thing I do is show the police the dash cab video which requires putting its memory card in a card reader but my iPhone or iPad will recognize. I speak from experience. Doesn’t matter what the other driver says, once you show the video to the officer. So it is really important for me to be able to read memory cards on the go.
