This item feels EXTREMELY cheaply made however it works for its intended purpose. I bought this to transfer my photos from my canon to my phone without having to go through the hassle of pairing my camera with WiFi and whatnot and this works great for that. I simply plug it into my phone, go to my photos app, and then download any photos I want from my SD card straight to my phone. I had high hopes for this card reader since it promised to be a convenient all-in-one solution for my iPhone 15, iPad, and MacBook. Unfortunately, it has been a constant source of frustration. First, the connection is unreliable. It frequently disconnects in the middle of file transfers, which makes moving large photo or video files nearly impossible. I’ve lost progress multiple times and had to restart transfers, wasting a lot of time. Second, the speed is disappointing. Even when using high-quality SD cards, the transfer rate is noticeably slower than other readers I’ve used. For a product marketed as compatible with modern devices, this feels misleading. Third, the compatibility is inconsistent. On my iPhone 15, the reader often fails to recognize the card at all, or it throws random error messages. On my MacBook, it sometimes works, but only after unplugging and reconnecting several times. This defeats the purpose of having a “plug-and-play” accessory. The build quality also leaves much to be desired. The casing feels cheap, and the device gets warm quickly during use, which doesn’t inspire confidence in its durability. Overall, this product does not live up to its description. It’s unreliable, slow, and poorly made. If you need a dependable card reader for professional work or even casual use, I strongly recommend looking at other brands. This one is simply not worth the money. Read more
