This device does exactly one thing - reads an SD card. It is so simple that the SD card doesn't even "click in" and lock and then eject when you "click in" again. It is held in place with friction. For me that is fine as I don't use it that much, if you are using it a lot you might want the "click in" feature. Works to transfer files from my laptop to 3D printer. Read more

Just went to use this for the first time and it doesn’t work. You really have to push the SD card in the slot and it goes in hard. I plug it into my phone and the import option never shows up in my photos app. I gave the SD card to my husband to try in our other card reader, that goes with his phone and is the same size as this new one, and it works fine. So I know there’s nothing wrong with the SD card. And I can’t return it because the return window has passed. I need to order another card reader, but don’t feel confident ordering from this same company now. Read more
