I was getting ready to return this item as it did not work on my MacBook Air with only "C" input available. The box comes with USB on one end and a C connector on the other. It didn't work. Today I happened to look on the back side of the device and there was a cord hard wired and the other end with both USB and C..Plugged in the C end and now it works perfectly.
